Alexander Evans was born to a Korean-Welsh Mother and British father in Wrexham, Wales. His mother was a stay at home mum, while his father was a accountant for one of the local corporate businesses. Working such a job always had him in the office and rarely at home. His mother, Morgan Evans, didn't really mind, but as Alex got older it would prove much harder for him to even show his face at home.
Alexanders father actually had a fear of commitment and had only married Morgan because his parents had pressured him into it. He had never wanted to get married and he hated his choice more and more everyday. Then when Alexander came a long it was even worse. He was starting to loathe the decision he had made. So one day before anyone awoke, Alexander was 4 at the time, his father left never to come home. Though he hadn't realized a sleepy eyed Alex watching him leave quickly and packing a bag. Alexander saw it all, but he hadn't known it was bad, so he never told his mum. Not until she was crying. He told her that "I saw daddy leaving." His mum cried even harder. From that day on his mum changed. She didn't seem to care much, and even started drinking until their house was sold from under them. That was when his mother made a decision for him that made him very upset. His mother dropped him off at an orphanage, lying when she said she'd be back. She never came back for him. He didn't understand why his parents didn't want him, did they hate him?
Alexander was only 6 years old when he was left at an orphanage in Northern Wales one of the other children who'd been abandoned and left behind by there parents. He was, to say the least, sad & broken. Not to mention that he had something weird about him. He felt what others felt physically. He had it as long as he could remember. His mother telling him that it was his mind playing tricks on him, but it happened all the time. Every time someone touched someone else's cheek, he felt it on his own. When someone scraped a knee and felt pain he felt it too. He didn't tell anyone about this not until one of the other kids got really hurt.
When Alexander was 8 years old one of the other kids were injured and in them getting hurt he did too or so he thought. The kid had stepped on a nail and Alexander had felt the same pain shoot up his leg. It was awful and people had started calling him a hypochondriac, but that wasn't it at all. A few months down the road the lady running the orphanage had a psychiatrist come and 'evaluate' him. She said that there was nothing really wrong with him, except that he might have something called Mirror-Touch Synesthesia. The lady explained Mirror-Touch Synesthesia was something your born with, it pretty much meant that Alexander felt exactly what another person felt, physically. Usually touch be it pleasure or pain. though it's completely unconsciously down. Which mean't it was uncontrollable.
Alexander had overheard the whole exchange. Mostly the part about Mirror-Touch Synethesia. Maybe that was the reason his parents didn't want him? It was because he was a freak. His parents knew that he was a freak and just ditched him. After that he ran off to the room he shared with a few other people and cried. That was also the time he had his first magical experience. One of the kids came into the room while he was crying and the door just slammed as he told him, through tears & anger, to get out.
A few days later Alexander was moved to an orphanage for 'special' kids. It wasn't like he had a choice really, he was a minor and no one really cared for them. The only opinions that seemed to matter were the adults or that's what he assumed. They moved him to an orphanage in some place called Hogsmeade that had other 'special kids.' He hadn't ever heard of the place, but he knew it had to be far away from his home. He wanted to go back to Wales. He found out that same day that he was a wizard. Wizards were only fairy tales, right? Made up to make kids believe silly tales. Then again he had to be silly, because he was starting to believe them as well.
When he was 11 years old his letter to Hogwarts came like it did for every other 11 year old. He didn't know whether to g or not. People were telling him just to say yes and go, but what if he just didn't want to go? After much contemplation he had decided to finally go and he was sorted into Gryffindor. Which was a huge surprise to him and to a few others. A few of his friends had assumed he would of been sorted into Hufflepuff, but being sorted into Gryffindor was better than Hufflepuff. Any house was really.
His first year at Hogwarts was definitely different from what he had experienced from the muggle schools he had gone to. People got injured just from plants & the like. It really didn't help with his Mirror-Touch Synthesia, especially since it set it off more often. At this point he started closing himself off to other students and just trying to make do with what he could. Other then that he loved seeing everything everyday, though he kept up a cold demeanor to keep people out even though he really did want friends.
During the summer after his first year he had been adopted by Octavia and Orion Patrick who had another adopted child named Coraline. The couple took him back to their home in Cardiff, Wales. He was finally back in Wales, the country wherein he had been born. He was happy that a welsh couple had adopted him, but he had refused to change his last name so instead they allowed him to hyphenate it. This new couple seemed to care for him even though he was a freak. They didn't even care that he had Mirror-Touch Synthesia. They just cared for him. Maybe he had finally found the people who cared for him?
As soon as he met Coraline he didn't really know how to act, because he had never had a sibling before. He tried staying distant and cold, though that didn't last long. He eventually stopped avoiding her, because it was getting rather old. He didn't want to stay secluded for the rest of his life, that was no fun and was kind of depressing so he started talking to Coraline. Eventually he let her in his little protective bubble, much like he had done for his adoptive parents. Eventually his adoptive family became the only family he wanted. Though he still really missed his mother and that would never go away.
The rest of his years at Hogwarts went by rather quickly as he had spent them not speaking much to anyone annd staying distant in an attempt not cause any scenes like he had back when he was at that muggle orphanage or during his first year. He often skipped the classes where people could get hurt. This ended him with very poor results on his O.W.Ls and N.E.W.Ts. He didn't fail, but he really hadn't gained much while he was in school. It was rather dull to say the least. Though sometimes he had wished he had spent them otherwise.
He spent the year after graduation traveling, before deciding he didn't actually like doing that but would rather stick somewhere permanent so he moved back to Wales and comes into London often hoping to find something to excite him, which hasn't happened just yet.
