Amelie has been told her entire life that although she inherited most of her looks from her mother, the blonde hair, pale complexion. However, the one thing she dreads about her appearance is her eyes. They're an icy color blue, that she absolutely loathes as they come from her father unlike her mother's warm brown ones. She's at an average height, but she likes feeling tall, so she wears heels that boost her up to 5'8".

Amelie comes from a family that believes in blood purity, although she has a secret: She's absolutely fascinated with Muggles. She finds them and their inventions interesting, loves reading their stories and studying their subjects. Of course though, she does all of this in secret. Her father highly believes in blood purity, and wants nothing to do with muggle borns and muggles. Her mother however was less like that. She wonders why they got married in the first place, but suspects it was arranged.
Sadly though, her mother died when she was young, leaving her to face her father alone. When her father discovered Amelie's fascination, he got really mad. He told her to get rid of her muggle items and such. Even though she had a deep hatred of her father, she complied. She threw most away but kept the ones she loved the most. She grew up reading muggle books in the middle of the night and tinkering with muggle items when no one was home. She developed an interest with Mythology, and wants to study that at Hogwarts. Soon she realized she could do nothing to gain her father's approval, she stopped trying, although doesn't like to talk about the subject. She was overjoyed when she got accepted to Hogwarts and packed most of her Muggle items with her so that way she won't have to do it in secret anymore. She was so excited she could leave the said 'hellhole' that was her home. She made many friends in Hogwarts, such as Sascha, Colin, and Aaron to name a few. In her first and second year, Colin admitted to having a crush on her, though she didn't reciprocate, but was a tad bit disappointed when she found out he was dating Twila. She got over it soon enough, and soon met a boy named Aaron. Aaron is her one of her close friends which she stutters and acts shyly around, and that's because she has a major crush on him, though she knows that she is in, what muggle books refers to as "the friend zone". She'd have to say her closest friend or ami at Hogwarts is Sascha, even Aaron can't take that spot. Summer before sixth year was Amelie's prep time for Operation: Be More Outgoing. She worked on meeting new people, even got a pen pan from Beauxbatons, tried getting rid of her stutter, and trying more to speak her mind. Her one weakness? Her dad. Of course, all her efforts simmer into a pile of failure once he starts to speak. She can't exactly get rid of him, pureblooded friends that both he and she approve of are hard to come by. She settled for writing to her friends, using the Hall family owl. She was arranged to get married to Felix Nott, for the sake of keeping blood 'pure', but she's backed out of that agreement. She's unofficially disowned, as of late, and living by herself in a tiny, crammed apartment, adjusting to a normal place after living in an extravagant mansion. It's taking some getting used to, but it's the first step to freedom, so she guesses she can deal with it for now. She's realized that if she doesn't want to be outgoing, that's okay, at least she's accepted herself even if it's just a little bit now. |

Amelie's not an outgoing person. She likes the quiet and tries to avoid social gatherings and large crowds as much as possible. The summer before sixth year, she built up the idea that maybe there is something wrong with her and has tried becoming more and more outgoing, even though it slightly bothers her. But it's a small price to pay if people would like her, right?
She hopes that she can change the perception of Slytherin House that other students have, being that nice Slytherin girl who can't even talk to people correctly, let alone insult one. She will talk to anyone, pure-blood or not. She still has her stutter though, but it only comes out when she's nervous or anxious. Or when she's around certain people. She is fascinated with mythology. Her mother used to read tales to her as her bedtime stories. As a result, she's become really familiar with the original myths and their variations, and believes that the Percy Jackson series is an awful manipulation of her favorite stories, but a good book. She is really good at Charms, but is terrible at drawing. ,br />Amelie is extremely loyal to her close friends. If she considers you one, then you're very special. She doesn't let much people in, even now that she's trying to be friendlier and less shy. Her trust is hard to come by, but she gives her heart away easily. |

Charms: Charms is one of her favorite classes, she absolutely loves it. Professor Marks is also one of her favorite teachers. She excels in this subject, and hopes to keep it that way until her final year, though she believes Professor Griffin is just as, if not more, spectacular. Both her Charms teachers have had a huge impact on her life, but she hasn't had the courage to tell them.

Wand: Amelie's wand is a Willow, 10 and 1/2 inches, Dragon Heartstring. Willow is an uncommon wand wood with healing power, and Ollivander noted that the ideal owner for a willow wand often has some (usually unwanted) insecurity however well they may try and hide it. When Ollivander told her this, she denied it, although she knows that it's true, as Amelie is quite insecure. Willow wands have a handsome appearance and is has a well-founded reputation for enabling advanced, non-verbal magic.
Bracelet: Just a simple (pure) gold bracelet that she loves to wear. She loves it and plays with it while nervous. Her Aunt Bella gave it to her during her mother's funeral saying that it was Amelie's mother's when she was young. She loves it and since her mom was the more loving parent she would make sure to never lose it ever, and it means a lot to her. |

*Her stutter is always at its worst when she's lying. When she's with someone she doesn't normally stutter around, and she lies, her stutter reveals itself.
*She loves taking strolls on the bridges because she loves the view. *Her favorite muggle book series is the Hunger Games. *She can speak French because of lessons she had to take when she was younger. *Her patronus is a crow, which represents mystery, personal transformation, intelligence and magic. *She is a somewhat skilled Occlumens. She's been good at blocking her thoughts since she was thirteen – when she was picking at her food because a girl at school called her fat, and her father all of a sudden piped up and said "Well, you are." (After that incident she starved herself for a week, and practiced not keeping her emotions and thoughts so close to the surface.) *As shocking as it is for most people, she has a good fashion sense. *She always keeps a marker or a pen in her pocket. Who knows when she might need it?
