Emilee and Andy returned home for the first time since they left for the hospital. Little Wesley Lenton in her arms. He looked a lot like his father, except for his blond hair. She smiled down at him as they walked into the house.
He'd fallen asleep whilst getting the house ready - after cleaning, then cooking, then decorating, Andy found himself falling asleep whilst the second half of banner was meant to be pinned up. So, Em would have walked in to seeing "ITS A B-" hanging up, and the rest of the banner fallen, with Andy asleep, sprawled on the couch."
She smiled as she saw al the work Andy had done, but let out a small laugh at the sigh of him sleeping. "Looks like Daddy is a little tired, huh, Wes?" She smiled again and walked towards Andy. "Wake up, sweetie. Someone wants to see their daddy."
His eyes immediately open and he realises what's happened, "Oh f-" He begins but then remembers that he's got a baby and sees his little face, and goes all mushy inside. "Oh my god. Hey lil guy...."he coos, holding the lil bundle and bringing him close to his chest. "I've been waiting for you forever." he says, in some weird parental trance like stage. "I've been waiting for you and your mummy to come home to me." He says, looking at Em with a face that's a mixture of pride, joy and tears.
She smiles watching Andy transform into a father in front of he eyes. Any doubts she had about being a parent melted away as she watched her two boys. "He looks just like you..Lucky for him. Ladies will be all over him."
He chuckles, "Look at his blonde hair, he's gonna look like a Stanton through and through." He says, "Or boys." He says, raising a joking eyebrow. "A baby born in pride? It could be a sign." He says with a smirk.
Literally out of nowhere, there was a sharp crack noise from the side of the cottage. It's Andy - and he's definitely looked better. His clothes are ripped and torn, cuts and bruises all over his face and arms, and his brow filled with sweat. He falls, heaped onto the ground.
She jumped from the chair when Andy appeared. She ran over to Andy as fast as she could, though it was more of a waddle. She knelt down next to him, pulling Andy onto her lap. "Andy! Are you ok?" Tears started falling from her face.
He groans slightly, and his eyes quickly flutter open at the sound of Emilee's voice. "Em?" He wheezes? "Don't I look marvellous...." He says, attempting a weak smile (typical Andy), before wincing in pain.
She couldn't help but to let out a small chuckle as the tears continued to flow. Only Andy could make something like this a joke. She couldn't manage to bring words to her mouth, instead gave him a light kiss on the lips and resting her head against his, trying to make sense of everything.
He kissed her back, and took her in his embrace, before trying to sit up. "Em...I'm so sorry I've been gone for so long.." He starts, "I wanted to be with you, especially because of the baby." He says, his eyes welling up.
"It's ok..It's ok.." She stroked his cheek while she spoke, tears still falling from her face. "I'm..I'm just so glad you're alright...We both are." She moved his hand to her stomach so he could feel the baby kick.
He struggles, but nods, making his way to the bench with Em. He reaches for his bag, grabbing a light green potion, before drinking it swiftly. His face regains some colour, and he sits up straight, watching some of the bruises face. "Em, I don't know where to begin, and how to apologise. Everything these last few months have been so surreal..." He says, his face pained.
"You don't need to apologize..I'm just so happy you're alive. When I didn't hear from you..I..expected the worse. I'm just so happy to see you." She placed her hand on his leg. "What happened? How did all this happen?"
He places his hand over hers, and holds it tightly, "It started when I left. I reached Zanzibar to work on some local wizarding tribes and learn some of their methods, but a few weeks in, I got kidnapped by this rogue group. It turns out that the tribe I was helping were the target of vicious attacks from the Zanzibari magical government. They didn't like that the tribe were practising old magic, so they were taking children as penance for it. I tried to save a few but there were too many...." He looks down at the ground..."They didn't make it." He sighs, "I only got out because I managed to use wandless magic to unlock my cell. It felt like years, in that dungeon, and I was so afraid I'd never see you again..." He says, looking back at her.
She didn't know what to say. She embraced him lightly, trying not to cause more pain. "I'm sorry that you had to go through all of that.. That's..terrible." She sighed, stroking his hair. "I'm just so happy that you made it back to us..I don't know what I would've done with out you."
"You know if you disappear again, I will hunt you down, right? I don't care if I'm nine months pregnant. I will find you." She smiled, intertwining her fingers with his. She put her other hand on her stomach, thinking what Andy had missed. "Your...son is glad you're home as well." She grinned.
She nodded moving her hand to wipe the tears from his face. "I found out about a week ago. I was going to wait, but I went in for a check up, and I just had to know. WE're going to be having a little boy, Andy."
He can't contain his happiness, he moves a little too quickly and winces, but quickly recovers. "A boy, oh my God. I can't believe it. Have you thought of any names?" His mind is full of questions but he tries to contain himself.
She nodded. "As soon as I found out it was a boy, I knew what I wanted his middle name to be. I want to name him after my father, Thaddeus." She smiled. "I had a few ideas for a first name, but none have really stuck. Anything come to your mind?"
