He was born to two middle-classed Pure Bloods in England on December 10th - his mother was a Ministry woman at the department of Mysteries whilst his father was a teacher at Hogwarts. He taught Defense Against The Dark Arts, and was considered a rather popular teacher - as a father though, he was a good one to his three young children - himself being the eldest amongst them. His father was formerly a Gryffindor at Hogwarts, as he was so proud of. He didn't instill his bravery into his eldest son, no, he was a shy awkward little one, like his Hufflepuf of a mother. Yes, his mother was indeed a Hufflepuf, seeing as though she was one of those mothers that filled the house with the fresh scent of cookies, and enjoyed doing house work by hand even though as a Witch, she could easily use magic in order those sordid tasks for herself, but no, she heavily believed in the ethics of hard work and such. The mix of the two led to him wanting to be different than them - than his siblings, his younger brother was hot-headed and robust much like his father, whilst the youngest of the bunch was as Hufflepufflish as possible.
Whilst he excelled at magic, and was gifted with it at a very young age, his sister started to look like a Squid. There was no signs of her showing magic potential, nothing actually, and thus their parents concluded that she was Squid - but they weren't as conservative as the rest of the Pure Bloods about Squids, and let her stay upon their golden-leafed family forevermore. She was never mistreated by their parents or anything, but after that Arthur felt highly sympathetic for her, even though he was about to go off to Hogwarts in his own will.
He was five years old when he got his first sign of magic; you see, normal muggle children, at the very least, don't have magical tantrums - but he did, considering he's a Wizard. It all started his mother disallowed him to have more freshly baked cookie she had made for some guests that had arrived from the Ministry of Magic, which caused him to threw quite a magical tantrum, indeed. Pots, pans, plates, you name it, unshelved itself to float in the air - or even in some cases, break itself on the hardwood floor underneath his feet. Indeed, he caused such a ruckus that his mother swore he'd get a letter to Hogwarts someday, even though she looked noticeably worried - or annoyed, but he'd far prefer to think that she was worried more than annoyed at himself really. But than again, he did just used his magic to edict her prized china onto the floor, so her being annoyed is also in the realm of possibility.
Nevertheless, the gentle family of five all did live a rather cozy life in England; with their house being a rather comfortable, cozy house in the country, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. His mother and father wanted to raise a family away from his mother's responsibility as a Minster, away from it all - even the muggles, even though they at least used electricity in their humble abode. They weren't too backwards - and even considered pretty progressive by the standards of the Pure Blood community. That kind of attitude allows him to not care about whenever someone is a muggle born or pure blood, he just sees them as people not by their blood type or what have you.
When he got his letter - whilst he was reading some muggle book, no doubt, he thinks Muggle books are a great source of entertainment, he was thrilled. He was so thrilled in fact, that he ran right straight to his father to tell him the news, seeing as it was Christmas break when a owl delivered to him. His sister cried about that, seeing as though it was highly unlikely that she'd be joining him there - you see, he's eleven whilst she's eight, and whilst her parents might've assumed that she was a late bloomer, none of the two of them were. Maybe, she might be a witch, but for now, her parents consider her a squip.

Arthur is highly socially awkward - but when he makes friends out of someone else, he has a tendency to stick to them for life. He's rather actually funny, if you think weird puns and stupid fart jokes are funny that is, and he loves learning new things - about everything. He enjoys class work actually, but that doesn't mean that he's good at whatever he tries necessarily. He just enjoys busy work, to keep his mind & hands busy, and his mother thinks he'd make a good herbolgist with that in mind, but he himself doesn't really know what he's good at when he goes to Hogwarts- and thus, is quite open-minded to suggestions on that front. He tends to keep his head low in class, and is actually pretty quiet & well mannered, always saying please and thank you. He doesn't tend to like drama and keeps his head down low most of the time, in order to avoid it - but regardless, he loves to learn, about anything, from anyone, as long as their a viable source of information and don't mislead him or feed him farce information.
He also enjoys reading - historical fiction, mind you, and writing, as a hobby. He's also a bit of a teacher's pet, admittedly - not that's a bad thing or anything. He's also a bit soft around the edges around people his own age, and thus likes older people. In his mind, older people mean less drama, considering they have more experience with social things, but he could easily be wrong about this, keep in mind, he's a naive, gullible child. Children can be wrong, and he's no exception to this rule of thumb. He's a bit naive too, even though he's smart enough in the classroom and such, about people's nature. He doesn't really understand people, seeing as though he's shy and quiet-mannered, this boy has a lot of social anxiety making him act somewhat oafishly around folks. Nature wise, he's very sweet though. He's always considerate of people's space, and does somewhat care for what people think of him.
