"I guess you're right that I haven't thought too much about it. Lily, I've never been really good at anything before. I'm no good in school, I can't dance or sing or anything like that, I've never had a real talent before this. All I've ever been good before now is Quidditch, and stuff like pranks. But I know now that I can fight well. That's the one thing I'm really good at, and it actually gives me a purpose. After Lyndsay died... it felt like I was just living to stay alive. But if I can use the tactics I'm learning here, maybe after the war I can get a job as an Auror or something. When Lily asked whether Ashley had recently thought about if a boy thought she was cute, she had cringed a little inside, troubled. How many guys would be willing to look beyond that wound?
