Faith Willard Slytherin Alumna - Unspeakable -To be great is to be misunderstood.  – 12:52, June 12, 2019 (UTC) She had visited with Ash and Charity for a bit, and left Emily to play at the castle before she came here to see Melinda. It had been awhile... and she wanted to check in with her sister. She knocked on the door, hoping Melinda was around... but that Eric was out.

Melinda Bagman - Magizoologist Send Me an Owl! - 12:58, June 12, 2019 (UTC) She would come to the door frowning slightly but her expression would turn to one of pleasant surprise as she opened the door and hugged Faith. "Hey, what are you doing here?" Faith would notice she looked a bit...unkempt. She clerly had just gotten out of the shower since her hair was a wet tangled mess and she had no makeup on, which was usually something Melinda always had. In addition she was wearing old looking jean shorts and a simple tanktop. OOC: It's basically her traveling stuff but I don't know that Faith would recognize that or have had seen her anytime recently without makeup, nice clothes, etc.

Melinda Bagman - Magizoologist Send Me an Owl! - 13:05, June 12, 2019 (UTC) She'd frown slightly and wave Faith in. "I wish you'd let me know...I'm packing up to leave on a trip this afternoon." Melinda's enchanted backpack would be sitting on the floor in the middle of the living room and scattered all around the room would be an amazing amount of gear. Her tent, ropes, clothes, cooking supplies and food...it looked messier and more disorganized than any Christmas morning Faith had seen in this room even with wrapping paper scattered everywhere.

Melinda Bagman - Magizoologist Send Me an Owl! - 13:14, June 12, 2019 (UTC) She'd start flicking her wand at various things around the room and they'd start folding themselves up and repacking themselves into the backpack that clear was too small to hold it all. Her voice would be happy and excited. "Atlantis." She'd glance over at Faith almost as an afterthought. "No Emily? That's too bad I would have liked to have seen her."

"I'm asking Faith if you came here in the middle of the day without Emily when you thought I would be by myself to ambush me with something." She'd pause her words coming slowly. "I'm ok with it if you did I'd just like to know up front so I can give your...concerns the proper time and attention."

She'd give Faith a smile. "I really do...I'm not just saying that but honestly I've been too busy with getting Eric back up and functional to actually participate in much going on with the Ministry besides my job...for either side."

She'd pause looking slightly amused. "So you and Emily came all this way just to check and see if I was behind helping plot to take down the Ministry?"

"Oh, I'm doing ok. Things have gotten...better since he remembered. I can travel more again." She'd wave her hand at everything strewn about. "It's taken me a bit to adjust to all the changes but I think it's good."

Melinda Bagman - Magizoologist Send Me an Owl! - 16:12, June 12, 2019 (UTC) She was touched both that Faith had been concerned about her and that she'd planned to stay and help if she thought it was needed...but she knew it would make Faith uncomfortable for her to express how touched she was. "That means a lot Faith...and I'm sure it wasn't easy to arrange everything so you could come visit but I think I'm ok. I'll admit under normal circumstances I would absolutely have been pushing against the Ministry and probably involved in the riots but I've just been so busy trying to get my own life together I haven't had the time or energy for rebelling." She'd grin. "Though I will say I was approached by some people, I think mostly older folks who worked for previous régimes at the Ministry that are trying to do...something about it from Lincliff City and I told them I would help if I could." She'd start folding her clothes with her wand and getting them packed neatly into plastic bags, then into her backpack. "As with Eric I'll admit it was rocky at first when he recovered and suddenly wanted to change everything...like getting married but we've slowed things down a bit to get back on stable footing and...I think we're doing good."

"Yeah, he proposed literally minutes after he told me he got his memories back." She'd finish the clothes and move to packing up camping gear.

"I'm a little afraid that Emily is trying to... model a little too much after Karina. Karina is very careful about keeping everything about herself very... proper, which given that she's a princess makes some degree of sense. But Emily... isn't. And I worry that she's trying too hard to be perfect, because that's the expectation of Karina. I don't want her to think that the same is expected of her."

Given how Emily is mostly around Karina it makes sense she would try to emulate her...especially when she IS a Princess and what girl doesn't dream of being one? Keep supporting her and allowing her the freedom to choose knowing either way you'll support her."

Melinda Bagman - Magizoologist Send Me an Owl! - 18:33, June 12, 2019 (UTC) "They do...but it doesn't really dissuade them and they're quickly learning how to do it just to the point where they're toeing the line of getting caught without actually getting into trouble." She'd shrug. "...and it's mostly not malicious with them intending to hurt her or anything. She's just a bit more sensitive than some of the others and since she cries a bit more often anyway about smaller things sometimes the adults don't realize what exactly happened or that it's small enough not to do more than give a warning. For example if they sprayed Felicity with water she'd probably just spray them back, or at least tell them to stop. Winnie just goes to tattle without telling them no or trying to stand up for herself."

"There are things I would love to talk to you about Faith like how your life is going in Norway and if there's any guys you're dating but there's nothing of critical importance or that's more than a passing curiosity." She'd smile. "I do miss you though and I'm touched you were worried about me. I don't get to see Emily often enough so why don't we both go to the castle so I can say hi to her before I go."
