Caera was flicking through the clothes with a frown. Titti was better at this than she was. Caera liked clothes, sure, but she didn't like shopping for them either. Caera was really more vintage and thrift shop kind of girl besides the clothes she gets from her sister's closer. So being in a store like this was an issue because she was surrounded by clothes she had no idea how to deal with. What colour went with what? No idea but maybe going with hogwarts house colours would be a good start. Surely the founding figures had a good idea of the colour schemes. You'd think an animator would know what colours went with what but she usually just with whatever colour scheme she thought looked cute.

Annoyingly, his mother had practically installed color theory into his brain when he was very little, so Aurele knew what colors went with what, what colors you could use to accent an outfit and whether or not it's going to go with the wine you're going to have later that evening. At first, he thought it was a rather useless skill to have, but as he's grown, he's realized good fashion sense does a lot more for you than you'd think it does. As he's looking through clothes, his mind is subconsciously acting like Cher's closet from Clueless, and piecing together different outfits that could work for pretty much anything. He sighed, slightly irritated because he only needed a few new clothes, not a whole new wardrobe. As he stepped back to move into a different aisle, he bumped into Caera and turned around to apologize. "Ah, je suis desole," he murmurs with a respectful bow of his head. And then realizes he said that in French instead of English. Ai yi yi, what is up with him today?

Caera was small and had no fat on her body (surprisingly-have you seen her diet?) so when Aurele bumped into her, she ended up stumbling a little but she quickly recovered and looked over at him, the French making her blink. Good thing languages was something she enjoyed. "Ça va," she said, her natural accent (Italian) giving her French a slight lilt, although you could barely pick at her accent when she was speaking English, "est-ce que ça va?" Her eyelids blinked a few times as she looked up at him, not use to people bowing their head to her.

Aurele quickly reached out to steady Caera, but when she stabilized herself, he dropped his arm back to his side. He's pleasantly surprise to discover the stranger he bumped into speaks French, meaning he doesn't have to repeat himself in English. He barely catches the Italian accent, but considering he has a light dutch accent when he speaks French purely due to living in Belguim, he hardly minded. "Oui, ca va," he says with a chuckle, slightly touched, despite the fact that he was the one who bumped into her. "Et toi?" he tagged on at the end, thinking it'd be rude not to.

She asked reverting back to English, pulling out a box of brownies from her bag (it was charmed to be never ending), "I made to many-" she always does "-and I've been trying to get rid of them." Then she tilted her head as she looked back at Aurele.

He raised an eyebrow, having encountered a lot of things in the UK since moving here, but not being randomly offered baked sweets in the middle of fashion house. Of course, who was he to deny? He supposes he's kind of hungry anyway. "Ah, sure," he says, accepting the box graciously while simultaneously realizing he has nowhere to put them if he's going to keep shopping. Guess he'll just shrink charm it and slip it in pocket. "Also, do you mind if I ask, are you Italian?" Aurele already knew, but once he starts a conversation, he typically finds a way to continue it. Both as an extrovert and as someone who values having as many connections as possible. "The accent gives it away. But your french is very good."

Caera, being figured out as Italian, beamed over at him and nodded nearly five times to confirm this. "I am! I was born in Florence but I've moved all over Europe and went to Beauxbatons for a little bit, so I had to practice French. I would have anyway, languages are really quite interesting, especially seeing how the Latin languages compare to one another. I've been trying to learn Japanese for a while."

Aurele immediately takes note in all the details and little ticks, his mind putting together just exactly how to read Caera. As far as he could tell, from first impression, she was an open book. Everything from the over—exaggerated nodding of her head to the excited look behind her eyes gave it away. She didn't seem like the type of person to have anything to hide or be guarded about, which made her look a hundred times more genuine and even made Aurele relax a little (which shouldn't be possible considering how chill he already is). He decided to indulge in this conversation. Maybe he'd get more baked sweets if he kept her around. "Beauxbatons, hm?" his accent clear and pronounced on the name of the school. "Funny I never saw you around. You look my age." His eyebrows raise a little at the new information, briefly wondering how many languages she can speak. He'll ask later. "Japanese? If you ever need a friend to help, I know a few."

Aurele's eyebrows raised in surprise, not expecting the age difference to be so... big. She really didn't look twenty-four, but you know how it is with pretty women. "Nineteen," he laughed. "Makes sense I never saw you around." That and Aurele avoided older students like the plague when he was a first and second year student. He's never been easily intimidated, but older students just seemed like a whole other handful he didn't want to deal with. Teenagers. "That's true," he says, like he hasn't learned three different languages on studying alone.
