Bittersweet Emporium

Bittersweet Emporium is a gourmet chocolate shop located in Diagon Alley, just past Gringott's Bank and is currently the newest shop on the block. Built to have a friendly and calm atmosphere, soft classical music plays in the back and warm lights show off the high quality chocolate products that are all hand-made in store. The shop was created by Aikaterine Vassalos and displays her heart and soul and of course, her love for chocolate. Bittersweet Emporium is currently looking for chocolatiers, whether full time, seasonal or part time employee.

She freezes, then realises she's being ridiculous. So she instead decides to hide behind a large barrel of hard-boiled sweets.

His cold is probably going to turn into a bout of flu, and he doesn't want to risk anyone catching it from him. After he's done with that, he finally lets Lars drag him into the store. Oh, he's never been to a chocolate shop yet. It smells absolutely heavenly, even with his stuffed nose. "I love hazelnut chocolate. I like eating healthy but I will devour Nutella if I got the chance. You're tempting me a lot, Lars." More than that, Mihnea is more than happy to be able to hang out with Lars again. He didn't realize how much he had missed Lars until they met again. Even after all these years and the way they've both matured, some things never change. "Healthy is definitely not overrated. Have you ever had avocado toast? It's too good not to eat some for breakfast everyday!" Smiling beneath his mask, he happily followed Lars to the hazelnut chocolate aisle. Everywhere he could see, there's something delicious and new that he's willing himself not to be buy. Temptation was truly an evil, it seems to be. He's currently focusing on a big display of Goya chocolate when his ears perked up at the mention of 'friend'. "Ooo, maybe you could introduce me to your best friend soon!" Mihnea couldn't help but to feel sorta saddened at the thought that he'd been replaced, but after what he had done, it shouldn't have come as such a surprise.

Lars scrunches his nose in visible disgust. "Me, eating something green in this economy? That's a no from me." His eyes soon glint with a teasing twinkle, "Buuut, maybe I'll try it, see what's so great about it that my favourite Healer is singing its praises to the highest heavens~" Something about this entire interaction makes his heart hum happily. He hopes that Intern Seo is happy hanging out with him too... Lars spots what he was looking for (a sizeable jar of Nutella with a cute handle) with a grin and is quick to pick it up and turn to his companion to show him. His grin falters the next moment, "O-Oh um-" He coughs awkwardly in an effort to cover his stumble, picking back up the much more subdued, slightly nostalgic and sadder version of the grin he had on earlier. Taking a second for his coughing fit to subside, Mihnea speaks. "Mmm, maybe you're right. After all, I'm the sick one and you're not." By his own medical knowledge, he should be in bed right now, drinking lots of water and resting. But when Lars invited him out, Mihnea found that he couldn't resist. As he debates over whether or not he should buy chocolate, he's starting to think that this trip might be a blessing in disguise. He hasn't really snacked on anything in the longest. "Ah~" Mihnea takes on the trading tone of the conversation with ease. "I'm your favourite healer now? I'm truly honored." He smiles, holding up a pack of what looked to be chocolates similar to Ferrero Rocher. If he gets this pack and rations it, he'll have enough chocolate to probably last him the rest of the year. As Mihnea inspects the package, he misses the range of emotions that appear on Lars' face. Oh, this pack has 64 chocolates. "I can't wait! I don't really have any acquaintances in England, so a new friend would be lovely!" Oh, he's definitely getting this box.

Fondness blooms in his chest when he hears the other giggle. There's just something really familiar about the sound but before he could try to dig deeper into it, he hears Intern Seo's coughing fit. He furrows his eyebrows in worry and puts down the Nutella jar to try and assist the other. "Are- Are you ok? Should we go back?" He feels guilty for being the one to drag Intern Seo out when the latter had just recovered. If he gets sick again because of Lars, Lars really wouldn't forgive himself. "W- Well yeah! I like the other Healers who were assigned to me but you're special." Special how? Lars can't really answer that, there's just really something he couldn't name even with 3 languages at his disposal. He just is. "He'll like you a lot I'm sure! You'll like him too." "No! It's fine, I'm mostly recovered. You should've heard me the other night, I kept on coughing and coughing! But I'm fine now, you don't have to worry. I had a coughing potion with breakfast." Even if he couldn't show the other a smile, Mihnea's eyes still twinkled. He might've forgotten to mention that the coughing fit had taken place last night, but Mihnea truly did feel recovered enough to be out and about. He feels a blush coming onto his cheeks. Mihnea admittedly likes being told that he's special. His heart leaped for joy. He knows that he shouldn't exactly be dating his patient, but the idea seems to pop into his mind right now. Ah, he'd love to be reunited properly with Lars. That is, with Lars knowing who he is. But he doubts that their meeting without any sort of masks would go smoothly. "I can't wait to meet them soon! Did he catch something else? Mihnea would have to ask his superior for a check-up tomorrow, probably. After work is done. But for now, he decides to socialize. Mihnea might even be wrong about being more sick. You never know! He's already gotten through some surprising results at St. Mungo's. But he wasn't here to be thinking about being sick. God knows how many times Mihnea thinks about work. He needs a break from his own mind. "Customise?Hmm, I usually leave the packaging alone. I'm kind of a minimalist person." His eyes turn into little half-crescent as he explains. It makes him look more endearing. "Seriously, I'm in love with cleaning. People stare at me weird when I say I enjoy doing chores. I don't know, I just like keeping things in their places." He already knows about Lars' habits, but he likes knowing about the little changes that have occurred. "Have you picked something out? Lars listens attentively, nodding along to Intern Seo's words. He likes his voice, even though it's muffled by the mask. Wonder what it sounds like without the mask? His voice is pretty even when muffled, therefore it must be prettier when it's not obstructed by anything. Lars likes listening to Intern Seo talk about his interests. His eyes turn into cute half-crescents! Adorable! "There's nothing wrong with enjoying chores! Those people are weirder and I bet they don't pick up after themselves leaving their homes all ew and dirty." He says with a pout as if he's offended on Intern Seo's behalf. Technically, he also doesn't pick up after himself, but at least he doesn't shame people about wanting to clean and make things orderly and organised. "Mmm~ Nah I have enough sweets at home. Mihnea Seo‎ — mahoutokoro alumnus — medical intern Mihnea is a slave to his own desires, and he's acutely reminded of that when he carefully lays his chocolate boxes in his shop basket. This shop might be called Bittersweet Emporium, but Mihnea thought it was a misnomer. It seemed to hold all of the sweet things, from the chocolate to Lars. Honestly, there was nothing better than being with someone that you could 'vibe with'. And Lars was very much someone Mihnea vibes with. If time had conspired to bring them together, then Mihnea should be enjoying the moment. And he does, Mihnea really does. Yet at the same time, he feels a bubble of guilt starting in his stomach. The only reason for their current happiness is because Lars doesn't realize who he is — the person who destroyed his otherwise normal life. Once he finds out....Mihnea bites his lip. He doesn't want to think about that right now. No use crying over a spill that hasn't happened yet. Instead, Mihnea tries to focus on the moment at hand. "Haha, I actually have a Flootube channel. I don't really tell people about it because I'm not really trying to become big off of it. It's just a neat little fact I throw out sometimes. But yeah, I have one and my subscribers are always talking about how aesthetic my life is." Getting shy at discussing his own praise, Mihnea rubs the back of his neck. The next question made him blush. Thank God he was wearing his mask. Even if he couldn't show his smile, the same twinkle in his eye that appeared whenever he smiled was on full display. It was clear what his answer was before he even said anything. "A-are you sure? I mean, I would love it, but you don't have to get it if you don't want to..." Trailing off, he suddenly feels shy. But the happiness that radiates from him is nothing but noticeable.

Excitement blooms fully on Lars' face the moment he hears Intern Seo say "I", "have", and "Flootube channel" in one sentence. It took all of his self-control to not tackle-hug Intern Seo and instead he just vibrates happily in place, "I bet your channel is the best! I'm glad other people can see and appreciate how amazing you are and um," His grin turns a little shyer. "Th- Thank you for telling me about it. I have a Flootube channel too- I post artsy stuff and everyday vlogs and it's just a messy clutter but I enjoy it there! My subscribers are the best and I love interacting with them~" He likes seeing the happy twinkles in Intern Seo's eyes, and knowing he's partially responsible for them? Even better! "Of course! Usually, it's a glossed-over detail that leaves many people's minds after a 'oh, is that so? how cool is that!'. Honestly, even Mihnea himself regards it as a side hobby of sorts. The fact that a lot of people find it supremely cool is nice to hear. Laughing, he says, "I'm not sure about that, but I do like making everything super aesthetic." The amount of attention and praise has him bashful. "Y-you do? Great! I should check it out one day, you should tell me the name so I can go watch some videos! Maybe I'll become a new subscriber!" Everyday vlogs? Mihnea doesn't want to come off as stalkerish, but that would be so cute. He wants to know how Lars lives his life now. Lifting his basket up, Mihnea checks to see that his packages aren't dented before looking up at Lars. Seriously, his face is starting to hurt from how much he's smiling. Mihnea Seo‎ — mahoutokoro alumnus — medical intern Mihnea blushes. In his head, he's thinking about how that's probably not a good idea. He knows that sooner or later, Lars is going have to find out that it's him...and he's content to hold it off til later. "I am? Well, I'm really happy you think so!" Mihnea doesn't agree. He's well on his way to self-deprecating thoughts when Lars' mention of past experiences has him freezing for a moment. As quickly as the moment came, it left, and Mihnea relaxed. He feels old feelings rising up to the top of his mind. Guilt starts to build up at the back of his throat. He could hear his therapist urging that it 'hadn't been his fault, it had been an accident'. He doesn't want to cry, so instead he settles for checking on his stuff. Mihnea recovers quickly enough to say something, voice bright. "Still! Your grip strength is really something else. I like it. Plus, you never know! I'd hate to see you come in sick days from now."

A twinge of nostalgia makes itself known in his heart as he realises that all of these would probably be Mihnea's pick too if he was here. A small part of him wonders how his best friend was doing now. Lars hopes he's okay. They did leave off at a really bad place and he's pretty sure almost all of their friends are still angry about what had happened, nevermind that Lars already completely forgave him during those last moments of consciousness and had expressed so in the countless unsent letters beneath his bed.
