Everything was...surprisingly clean but there was an air of emptiness and it was clear it had been a while since anyone had been here. Christmas decorations were still up showing the time of year someone had been here last.

"I wonder how long these have been up," she said, setting down the bags. She glanced around the large hall before looking back at Rose. "So what do I need to know about this place?"

Rose would pull out a small silver pendant with a Black family crest on it. "I'll make sure Mom gets one too. Dad said he'd fix the wards to let you guys in when he gets a chance but for now..." She'd shrug. "The place apparently belonged to my grandparents before they died and Dad and Uncle Karith grew up here. There's self cleaning charms on things Dad put up when the House elf who lived here died back when we were kids apparently." She'd glance around. "So...nobody should be able to get in. There might be some pests like doxies or a boggart or something but probably not...apparently there's some pretty strong magical protections on the place...like if you try to appirate in without the charm it intentionally splinches you." She'd shudder a little.

So just me and... potentially some creatures." She looked around then back to Rose. "If the house-elf is... gone," she said. "And leaving here poses a risk to myself... how do I get food and such? Are you guys doing that?" She gestured to what Rose brought. "That's not going to last more than a few days."

"If you want I can...stay tonight to help you settle in?" Her voice would get a little more quiet...and with her normal tone already quiet it would be almost under her breath. "I wouldn't want to leave you alone again so quickly."
