Carkitt Market
Wizarding Shopping Area

Carkitt

Carkitt Market is a large, outdoor shopping location that can be found on Diagon Alley, within the Wizarding Quarter of London. It is owned by the lovely Narkissa Vulpe, a pure-blood vampire. The shopping area has been charmed to reveal a roof whenever the weather is bad but is otherwise primarily an outdoor strip of shops. Each vendor pays a fee to the owner of the Market in order to have their businesses remain. It is one of the more populated areas of Diagon Alley.

Margaux Lefévre was finally free from the rules, restrictions, and precincts that were put on her for her half-breed status. Where she could go shopping for herself at whatever time she felt like without fear of being arrested. Without fear of being hurt or killed. She knew of the exciting news obviously, but it truly didn't feel real... or correct. She didn't know an England that was precinct-free. She had moved here to find her mother during the reign of the despicable minister. Despite knowing she was now safe, she still found her paranoia checking behind her back ever so often. What for? Margaux wasn't sure. Aurors who would run up from behind and arrest her for innocently shopping for some new clothes, perhaps. Or for not wearing the badge she had been forced to wear for so many years. What a weird feeling it was indeed.

Honestly, Felix can barely even believe that the past year was even real. Sure, it was nice to finally start his transition into public life again. The kidnapping situation was still on the back of his mind, but it became more manageable once he finally started going to therapy. Dealing with Rufus was put on the sideburner, especially more now that he met Konosuke. Promoting Insomnia's second album seemed like a dream, and finally being able to sing and show that he was not just an untalented pretty face meant more than he probably let on. And of course, it came crashing down. Thanks, Yoon Jungkook. Alistair declaring his love for him in posthumously published diaries seemed like badly written fanfiction Insomnia used to read every Thursday night. Nope, it was real. Felix would've preferred Jungkook and Jungjeong being real over this. So he lost a close friend. And then of course, the backlash against Insomnia was great enough that disbandment seemed like the best option. So he lost his job. And then Konosuke proved to be clingy enough that his mental health was probably going to suffer. So he lost his boyfriend. All of this was hanging over his head like a storm cloud, so Felix couldn't really be blamed when he accidentally bumped into Margaux while on his way to a shop. "Oh, I'm sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going."

She stumbled back a few steps, but she assured the stranger quickly after, "It's alright. I'm alright." Margaux, in all honesty, was partially at fault too. She could of easily moved out of the way if she hadn't also been caught up in the midst between distracting thoughts and looking behind her. "I'm sorry, too. I was distracted, I suppose." She looked at the stranger while apologizing, but didn't recognize him from Insomnia—or, well, at least not right away. She didn't keep up with too many bands like that. Never was her cup of tea, and she hardly ever had the time anyways. The only chance of her seeing his face before was some dramatic tabloid or similar.

Felix nods, but he seems like he's still in his own little world. Distant, and not really at all there. He snaps out of it, though, and a red color seems to make its way up his body to his face. "R-right. Um, I feel bad for bumping into you, so do you mind if I buy you something?" It's the least that he could do. It's his own fault for being up Thoughts inside of his head.

"No, no that's totally fine," she assured, a grin blooming on her face. She was fully aware the other had meant no harm. If he were to have been anything resembling disrespectful of the matter, perhaps Margaux would of forced the other to buy her an item—one she didn't even need. Thankfully though, that wasn't a necessity and her mood felt raised by the shocking offer of kindness. "The offer itself is generous enough. Thank you."

Piper was walking through the stalls, looking at each object that caught her eye. Now summer holidays, Piper had a lot more free time on her hands than she had previously. The fact that she was now a Hufflepuff alum struggled to get through her head. She had now graduated officially from Hogwarts and...she had no idea what to do with herself. Piper wondered if every ex-head student felt the same way she did. Overwhelmed. Scared of the future. Unorganised. Behind on life. Piper's appearance was, as usual, rather...out there. Her black hair had bright blue streaks running through it and she was wearing boots, a leather jacket, a crop top, and a shit tonne of badges. The badges all supported different movements. Such as supporting half breeds and the like. Piper really on regretted the crop top and her mind was convincing herself that the shirt was the reason people were giving her side way looks and her political statements had nothing too do with it.

Juliet herself received quite the frequent stares of people passing, but likely for a different reason than Piper's. Most of them, she noticed, were looks of confusion and subtle recognition. Like, 'I think I've seen her before, but I'm not fully sure where.' It didn't mind the princess much though, because, honestly, she was a starer herself. As she did some simple Summer shopping to celebrate the end of the year, she observed the people around her (not very suspiciously) and took in every bit of her surroundings. When noticing a girl walking the same direction as her with an entire outfit that Juliet genuinely admired, she couldn't help herself but compliment, "I love your hair."

Piper knew Juliet. Being head girl, she had become well aware of who was running through the halls of Hogwarts, especially which royals. In this day and age, the royals were a hot topic and figureheads people turned too for stability and familiarity. Especially when they spoke out against the minister of magic. So when Juliet appeared, commenting on Piper's hair, Piper wasn't confused on who she was, unlike so many others it appears. Beaming, she said, "thank you!! I dyed it myself. I'm very proud of it." Of course, she did it the moment she graduated. Being head girl, she wanted to keep her hair natural. "Look-" she began before shaking her head. The streaks shimmered before turning into a lime green colour. Obviously, the streaks were charmed. "I hadn't been able to master it before now."

"Really?" she asked, stopping in her tracks to listen and respond. "It seriously looks professionally done." She eyed the rest of the other's outfit, leaving a smirk on Juliet's face. Stylish, and the buttons, from briefly reading them, were the perfect extra statement piece. Juliet's eyebrows raised unexpectedly when her hair went from green to blue, becoming extra impressed with an already impressive look. "You're going to teach me how exactly you did that, and so perfectly for the matter."

"Oh, it was nothing really, just some charms here and there. Getting the streaks done was the most difficult part," Piper said, watching Juliet's reaction. Piper always wanted people to like her, you know? Have some approval from others. So she ecstatic to be listening too Juliet react to her hair. "I'm happy to teach you! It's easy to do once you get the hang of it, I promise!"
