Charlemagne Montague III was the second-born child of Charlemagne II and Anna Montague. He grew up in a large family estate in Yorkshire, England, a home he shared with his parents and two siblings - one older, and one younger. As the middle child, Charlemagne, or "Monty", as he preferred to be called, was often spoiled and got away with almost anything. Needless to say, Monty was the favorite son, and this caused minor rifts between him and his brothers, who were slowly growing jealous of all the attention he's getting from their parents.
His perfect life started dwindling when he was ten years old, when his mother died from a severe illness. Their father became more distant to his children after her death, needing time to recuperate from his own sorrows. Because of this, Monty's supposed joyful first year at Hogwarts the next year was marred with sadness, especially because his older brother, who irrationally blamed him for what happened, would not talk to him at school. Because of this, Monty did not have any friends and started out as a social pariah.
Things became better the following year, though, when he decided that while he cannot fully move on from his mother's death, he would change his attitude for the better and be more open and friendly, as he's sure his mother would've wanted him to do so. As a result, his second year turned out to be better than his freshman outing. In his third year, Monty discovered something about himself that he was not expecting. Having entered puberty, and having all kinds of "feelings", he found out that he liked boys instead of girls. He was shocked and he didn't know what to do. He was sure of one thing though: he can never tell anyone, especially his father and his brothers.
Having always been intelligent, Monty started educating himself about the LGBTQ+ community all throughout his fourth year. He started reading books and stories about the matter, and even delved into the "movies" he heard of from his Muggle Studies class. He learned a lot, and became more comfortable with himself, having crushes on a lot of his schoolmates here and there. He still hasn't come out though, and he's not sure if he ever will. He's just not ready yet, and he knows that there is a process, and that he should do it on his own time. Convinced with his own machinations, Monty looks forward to his upcoming fifth year at Hogwarts. He knows there's a lot in store for him, and now that he's more confident, perhaps he can make it a really fun one.
