After previously having a one night stand in the lodge a few months back, Ruxin had found this gem of a place in the back. It was quite the relaxing spot and he often came back here to just think. As he walked up, he noticed a familiar face walking along the same path. "Evangeline, right?" Rux asked, a bit surprised that he remembered her name.

Ruxin laughed a bit, his fingers running through his hair. "Roxin... That's a new one." He chuckled, shaking his head a bit. "How's the new promotion working out?" Rux asked, quirking an eyebrow at her curiously.

Ruxin nodded, seemingly impressed. "Well, congratulations again. That's a pretty big deal." Rux admitted, deciding to sit aside her on the boardwalk. "Do you enjoy it?"

"I come here to clear my mind." Rux explained with a short shrug. "It's beautiful back here - definitely a good place to think." He rationalized, absentmindedly running his fingertips over a nearby plant.

Ruxin picked a couple of flowers and began twining them together by their stems. When Evangeline asked the question, Freya flashed through his mind but he quickly shook his head. "No. No one special. Just me and my guitar." Rux explained as he continued to make the small flower crown.

Gilbert and Julchen

He almost expected that moving out of that apartment would get rid of all the ghosts of the things he had lost. Having just been informed of the loss of his father, everything was so confusing. His dad had always been some sort of superhero, or so he'd thought. But nobody in this god damned world was a superhero. For a while Gilbert had been naive enough to think he could be one himself, but a superhero was not as helpless as he felt now. He hadn't been able to stop Ansel dying, Saro, Vilte and Rica leaving, and Leif basically leaving him and Julchen in the dust. Leif had moved on, and Gilbert was jealous, because he was still deep in the past. During that game he had been angry at him, angry for letting him and Julchen suffer alone when they needed him the most.

They were both stuck, and he moved over to his friend. In these dark times there had to be light, and it seemed like they had to be each other's even though both their bulbs were dim. He'd been looking at the shattered splinters of the beater's bat that he'd broken at Ilkley Moor when he went there to let out deep-rooted frustration. "Hallo," he murmured, exhausted even though it was still daylight outside he had no motivation to do anything. Sitting down beside her he let the fragments spill from his hands and ignored any damage to his palms. Why was he so annoyed at the people he had loved? Everyone but Julchen had just left him. He had given them his everything, all of them...and he knew Julchen had too. They were what held him up, and now they had pulled the foundations out.

He was so similar, it was scary. If Julchen was to leave, who knew what he'd do? She kept him going, now, and he dreaded losing everyone. Imagining Wolfram as a father made Gil feel a little strange - seeing even Wolfram so occupied, what effect was that having on her? He wanted to have something nice to say. He wanted to go back to the old days where he always had something to make everyone laugh, when everyone was happy. He'd never stayed with people long, what with his dad, his second dad...he'd always been moving. But somehow, he'd thought he'd found his friends for life. But the circle of abandonment kept going. "...I lost my dad." He got out, barely believing the words, disbelieving his own voice. "I - I'm sorry I don't have any good news."

"What did we do?" he sighed, looking at where a drip of water was falling from a leaf and then watching it smash on the ground. He then returns his gaze to the pieces of bat, picking them up again. It's so unfair. One loss...and everything went south on us. "Why is everything just so...painful? I was so angry at Leif during that game..." He hasn't felt like himself in a long time, he knows that, and he hates it.

He rests his chin on the balcony and sighs. "I don't know...he never even mentioned Ansel once. He hasn't talked to us in months. I thought at least you meant something to him now...but apparently, we don't matter at all. Not to him...not to anyone, really. Everyone's turning their back but we have to be so happy, we're perfect, we have to smile for the cameras every single day when we're breaking..." He clenches his fist feeling the wooden shards digging in, he'd almost forgotten they were there.

"With my sister," he mumbled bitterly with a long sigh, dropping the pieces of bat, for now exhausted also. He's not sure what to say other than how right she was, but put his arm around her. "I'm not leaving. Never. I promise."

He lets out a sigh of relief, honestly he has been scared that she would disappear and he would have nobody at all. With Rica, Vilte, and Saro gone. Leif and Luisa were distant, now. Ansel was dead, and so was his father. He would have nobody to stay here for. "Gut."

Kimi was returning from a quick jog, and enjoying the rush of energy and happiness that it brought. "Kea!" she said, waving from a distance and then rushing over to her.

"I know right!" she grinned, pulling her into a hug as soon as they reached each other. "How've you been? What are you up to now?"

"Great," she grinned, in response to both of the questions and Kea's news, which she realized sounded confusing so she elaborated, though how she felt was mostly a lie. "I'm doing great. I've got a job as a waitress at this pizza place, I'm hoping it's just temporary though. And it pays the rent," she laughed.

She grinned back, "You should, it's called Padrino's. Maybe I could get you a free pizza or something and then we can go out for a drink."

"Yeah, with Patricia and Emily. It's nice, isn't it? I mean, our apartment is a little small, but it's big enough to have a few friends round anytime you wanna come over," she grinned.

"Yeah, I think so. And I will, definitely, now that I know where you live you'll never get rid of me," she grinned, joking...though she kind of knew it was true. She'd been so lonely recently that while Emily and Patricia were at work she practically lived at Carmen's apartment, so it would be great to have someone else to talk to.
