The Clock Tower Courtyard is a cloister at the base of the Clock Tower at Hogwarts. This cloister seems to be one of the older parts of the castle, and the ceilings and walls are dilapidated. From the Clock Tower Entrance, the other end leads to the Covered Bridge, which in turn leads to the Gamekeeper's Hut, Stone Circle and The Forbidden Forest. As it sits on top of a hill, it is level with the third floor. In the center of the courtyard is a fountain with statues around it. Plants and vines grow on some parts of the flooring and walls.

Hope was sitting in the courtyard, flicking through a magazine that she'd smuggled in from home. Of course, she'll be owling her mum in a week to send her more. Without technology, Hope had no way of keeping up with the world and she didn't like that. Her one reason not to go to Hogwarts but there she was. Cut off from pop culture. How soul crushing. At least she had Iliana and co to keep her company and sustain her levels of entertainment. But for now, she prayed her mum won't judge her every time she sends a box full of magazines and stuff every other month.

Having finished up homework not too long ago, Megan had stepped into the courtyard with a book in her hands from some self-enjoyment reading rather than for school work. Although Megan had a goal for her to go out of her comfort zone a bit and try to make friends, she has yet to do of the sort. She'd much rather tackle at her large stack of homework instead. Goodness, she sounded like a big nerd. But it was true. Making friends was hard. Even if she knew a lot of the other first years from her neighborhood and being really close with Hope. Speaking of Hope, it was quite a surprise to see her own twin sister in the courtyard, but a happy surprise nevertheless. Making her way over to Hope, she's got a smile on her face, not saying anything with the guess that the other would see her on her way over there.

Hope's eyes were eventually dragged upwards to see her sister and narrowed her eyes before her lips pulled upwards. "Megan," she said, sounding cheerful enough. Hope was still recovering from flying and was kind of...shaken up. "How's the nerdy house?"

"Hope," she exclaimed back, eyes going to the magazine she was reading. She had brought two to Hogwarts herself, but the biggest things she had smuggled in were books. Lots of them. The one in her hand included, actually. "It's fine. I'm rooming with Elizabeth. How's the house full of dumbasses?" She's only joking with her question, wording it similarly to Hope's. She had nothing against Gryffindor, of course.

"It's fine. She's nice, so that's a good thing. Plus, she's really smart so I can ask for help with homework anytime if I want to." It's true. Elizabeth was nice and smart. Megan hadn't talked to her too much yet, but it wasn't her roommates fault and rather it just being that Megan wasn't much of a talker. Honestly, its good she knew the other Ravenclaw before hand, since Megan probably talked to her more than she would have a stranger. "Oh, that's fun. Hope grinned at that. "Goddamn right it is," she said. Hope would have burnt down Hogwarts if they had shoved Ili with anyone else but her. Or something similar to that. "Ugh lucky, I hate homework.
