Drew, Tessa and Resident House wife[]
「 Drew Hamilton 」Perfect from the bottom to the top
Drew had the lower point of her back pressed against the table, Julian sitting on one of the two chairs, with the other one open for Tessa to use. "Thanks for coming at such short notice," she said, directed at Julian, who grinned over at her, opening his mouth to respond. "Not that you had much option but I appreciate it regardless. Housekeeping, I'm sure you both know you're rights, you both have the right to a lawyer if you wish. As of right now, you're facing a list of charges that are as follows: for you, Mr. Ritchard, gang conspiracy, principal in the second degree, accessory before the fact, accessory after the fact and principal in the first degree. For you, Ms. Bellerose-Hartt, you're facing: gang conspiracy, principal in the second degree, accessory before the fact, accessory after the fact, principal in the first degree, first degree murder, probably fraud, grand theft, aggravated assault and arson. Any questions before we start?"

"One question–the Romanov's are in a safe house right now," he said and Drew's expression tightened. "I was wondering if I were to be released if I were to be able to visit?" He knew this was a shot in the dark and the answer would probably be no. But Aleks was near her due date and he didn't like not knowing where she was, let alone if she was in any danger.

Drew stared at Julian for a moment before taking in a breath. "No, the reason they're there is to keep them away from any potential criminals so no, I will not be green lighting you access, despite being the father to the unborn child. Any other–" Drew paused. "Actually moving on, le–"

"Actually, one more question! Eden Lestrange, can she be our lawyer?" He asked and Drew's face remained impassive but then she gave him a thin smile.

"You're free to use your one phone call to ask her that," Drew answered as patiently as she could. "Now, to start off–basic question, you're both aware of the Black Parade, correct?"

Tessa waits for the exchange between Julian and Drew to conclude with patience. She can do this all day; doesn't matter what Drew decides to use against her. Her expression is carefully collected, avoiding giving anything away as she regards Drew. "I've heard the name once or twice, yes."

"Right," she said after a moment, before pulling out a folder, but didn't go to open it. "So you failed the basic question." Great start. "I know who your mother is," she said, her eyes on Tessa, "and I have other witnesses placing both of your names in relation to the parade, particularly yours, Ritchard. They took plea deals, full protection." Those witnesses were so minuscule that Drew barely got anything from them. But also, she had other intelligence that pushed these two forward. Still, there was a beat after that before Drew continued. "Don't forget that I've met your step mother once or twice, I'm well aware of who's connected. So why not cut to the chase? I'm sure we're all busy people."

"We are busy people, which is why I imagine you'll henceforth be a more open and honest interrogator. My step-mother is many thing, but she isn't dumb. You don't have any names or information, or I wouldn't be here facing charges and what I assume to be a very generous plea deal promising... let me see — immunity, perhaps? Or probation? Maybe you're feeling bold and will try to tempt me with a measley reduced sentence." Tessa rolls her eyes. "I'll humor you. What do you have to offer us, and what kind of damning evidence do you have that should push us towards accepting your deal?"

"You'd be surprised," Drew said but then she brought out a photograph, sliding it over the desk. There was noticeable members of the parade at the druid village. "There was an attack there and we managed to track down one of the members just a few weeks ago. They placed you on the scene. And I'm sure one of the nymphs that survived would be very happy to pick you out on a line up. But, perhaps, if I have full cooperation from both of you, I can promise immunity with the condition neither of you become active in any non-legal organisation moving forward."

Tessa smiles. If she knows who the Paraders are, she isn't giving any indication. She leans back on her chair, waiting for Drew to say her piece. Internally, she's considering it. It's a good offer. Drawbacks? She knows what it means — she's out of the Parade for good, and there won't be any going back. She'd be throwing them all under the bus. Looking back on her experiences this past year, she supposes she shouldn't care; none of them cared about her when she needed it most, and even her mother kept her at arm's length, if that. They threw her under the bus, put Morgan on a pedestal, and gave him what should have been hers. They ridiculed her without even realizing it. So why should she deign herself to protect them rather than her family - her kids, their father? "I don't suppose you could give us a minute to weight out our options in private?"

Drew pondered for a moment, just drawing it out for the sake of it, before kicking herself off the desk. "Fifteen minutes, max," she said as she strolled out of the room, her cane clicking against the ground with each step.

Julian watched Drew leave, not saying anything until the door clicked shut, before he turned to look at Tessa. Gosh–it's nearly been ten years. Ten years since they met on that tower. Admittedly, he wasn't meant to be there, but Julian was always in places he was never meant to be. Still how strange life turned out. Neither would have guessed that they would have been sitting in here. "What do we want to do?" He asked, his stomach twisting. Nothing had really sunk into him yet. The charges. If he didn't take the deal, he'd probably never see his third child. He can't imagine Aleks would want...well, anything to do with him. But he knew, push comes to shove, he'd follow Tessa's lead no matter what. He promised her he had her back–and he didn't see himself breaking that promise any time soon.

"I want to take it," she replies, no reluctance or hesitancy coloring her face or voice. "I refuse to abandon my children out of a misguided sense of loyalty towards a criminal organization that did less for me than my dead parents." She refuses to abandon them at all. They're her priority, and they always will be. "I can't put them through this or the Parade anymore."

Julian nodded. "So we'll be completely honest...even though we just lied to her face," he said before shrugging,"she'll forgove us. She seems like such a forgiving person. We'll be fine. Our kids we'll be fine. They'll grow up safe. If they even hint at going dark, I'll personally ground them until they're at least forty years of age. Sorry, bad joke, I'm a little nervous." Julian twiddled his thumbs as he stared off slightly into the distance. "I stand with you. You know that."

Tessa is about to interject and point out that he's rambling when he acknowledges it. She smiles, partly amused but mostly guilty. This is what she doesn't like about this life; it ruins lives. It ruined Julian's and it's well on its way to ruin their kids'. She should have heeded her father's warning and disappeared while she could. "We'll be fine," she echoes, nodding in a fruitless effort to reassure herself. "We'll take the deal regardless, but I'm going to try and get immunity for dad, too. If there's anyone that deserves protection from becoming a fugitive, it's him. It's - it's the least I can do, after all he's done." She isn't going to get emotional now - not if she can help it - but she needs Julian to understand how important Xavier's safety is to her, too. "Are we on the same page, then?"

"Of course," Julian said, "of course we're on the same page. We'll protect us, a milf and a dilf, the kids, and the first generation dilf." Once again, his nerves were speaking here. But she had smiled, so he wasn't failing completely here. "When they get wind of this, they'll come for us. You know that. We'll have to move houses, take the kids out of school, even change identities. But we can do it. We've been through worse...do you...do you want to call her in now? Or make her wait the ten minutes. If it's the latter, do you want to see a magic trick? With a coin. To pass the time. I've been practicing it, I've gotten quite good."

Yep, any chance of getting emotional is definitely over. "I know, Julian. Selling all my shares around Lincliff, moving the kids, changing identities..." Tessa sighs. There won't be a place in this world where they'll be truly safe. She knows the Parade will stop at nothing to get revenge; it doesn't matter who she is. Nobody crosses the le Fey family; she knows that much. "You deciding to mummy up a royal princess does us no favors. They might not know about your little royal endeavors, but it's going to be obvious when they see your face plastered in wanted signs all over Eastern Europe." Tessa taps her fingers against the table rhythmically, scrunching her nose up at the idea of all the things she'll have to do now to secure this new life of hers. "As much as I appreciate the offer, I think we should maybe try to get back to the twins as quickly as possible, yeah?" They're already at risk; Tessa doesn't want to tempt fate any more than they already have.

Julian winced at the description of Aleks. "In my defence, I didn't actively make that decision. Morally, I'm slightly iffy on the whole monarchy so I would have kept my distance but...you know, life doesn't go as planned," he said, scratching his neck. Why is it that he kept on sleeping with royals after banging on about how he doesn't like the monarchy? "I can talk to Aleks. She'd understand if I asked to not have my face be public, or use a potion to use someone else's face if absolutely necessary....but yeah, lets do that. Back to the twins." With that, he pulled out a coin and tossed it at the mirror, knowing full well someone was looking through it. A few minutes later? Drew was walking back in.

"I'd appreciate it if you didn't damage our property, Ritchard," she said, ignoring the grin that he shot her, "but I assume you've decided then?" She asked as she leant on her cane, standing over the both of them. "If you lie to me, I will find out, and I won't show mercy next time round I can assure you of that."

"Hop off your high horse. He didn't damage anything," she replies in lieu of Julian, rolling her eyes. "We'll take the deal, but I want the immunity to extend to a third person not currently here. He deserves it, and I'm not willing to disclose why until we've signed a magically binding document solidifying this deal."
