I'm aware they'll be an investigation of things aren't too busy...but you and I also know about other pieces moving in the shadows that will be making things quite crazy for a while. I don't think anyone could blame either one of us if this escaped prisoner report found it's way to the bottom of our respective piles of paperwork to deal with...especially given how she's not a dangerous convict or anything." He's pause. "Speaking of dangerous criminals congratulations to you and the Department on finally getting some traction on those serial killings."

"Oh no, much worse with the Minister constantly breathing down my neck about why we still have those things in our country and how we're going to make the rest of the Wizarding World follow suit." He'd give a slight head nod. "That being the case I also can do a lot more to slow things down and take forever which is one reason the Ministry has seemed so ineffective at...everything the past couple years. When I staff up the bureaucracy and make sure everything has to have double signatures to get approved anything other than a direct Ministerial order just takes forever which means if the Minister wants to get anything done he has to do it himself." He'd look at her apologetically. "I know it's caused you and your Department some headaches but I feel like it was one of the few positive things I could do."
