Dahlia knocked on the door, feeling like her heart was pounding out of her chest. She was so nervous, and hoped that this would go well. She had been rejected by so many jobs, so many doors had closed on her, and she prayed that this would go well. She took in a breath, trying to calm down.
Dahlia entered the office, swallowing hard and trying to keep calm. "Thank you for having me Ms. Saetre," Dahlia said with a soft smile as she walked over to the desk and held her hand out for a handshake.
She let out a small breath, "Well, where do I even start? I love the unknown, for one thing, and I've always been fascinated by the things that are just out of reach. The Department of Mysteries strikes my interest out of any other Department, and I feel that if I get the chance to work here I could thrive and add to the Department," She explained, stopping before she went on and on.
"I love Space and everything about it. Since I was a little girl space has always been my favorite, and I even wanted to be an astronaut," She said with a small smile. "I think that I could do well in the space room, and that I'd be able to do great things there. I understand if I'm needed somewhere else, but the space room would be where I would work best."
“Oh, well.” She pauses for a moment, “I would probably try to do research on how space effects our magic. Like, how the moon effects the waves? I’m sure it has something to do with our magic, and the way the stars and planets align,”
Her face darkened, “I hate them.” She spat, “They’ve really ruined my life, and have ruined a lot of other things. My girlfriend is in the precinct, and I don’t like the minister,” she said, before blushing. “Oh my, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to Be so harsh,”
Being rejected again was too much for Dahlia, and she couldn't keep her composure this time. She sniffled and her lip quivered, and despite Eva saying that she had a spot in the future, that didn't help her in the moment. She just stands up, "T-Thank you for seeing me," She says in a trembling voice, putting her hand up to her mouth to try and stop herself from completely sobbing.
