- We have disregarded everything canon that occurs after the Second Wizarding War, such as the Cursed Child.
- Whilst we do acknowledge canon and try our best to work with it, there are times where we feel that we need to update something even if it goes against canon. When we need to change canon, it will mostly end up in a vote.
- We are set in the modern day, but our timeline is set well after the events of the book series. To accommodate this, we have pushed back the canon events by twenty four years. So instead of the ‘Harry Potter’ series being set in 1991, they start in 1967.
- If there isn’t sufficient evidence in the books for something, we fall back on the UK laws. Since the HP system was based on the UK system (such as the prefects and head students etc), we tend to follow this as much as possible. Some things may not be followed, but if we break from it then there will be a vote.
