 Elaine was born to a very soft spoken woman who went by the name Mary Elizabeth, but gathered all of her traits from her very business-like and formal father, Seth Verkoven. Her need to pester and push boundaries had developed at the ripe age of two when her magic begun to show when she threw temper tantrums. She constantly loved to poke around at all the muggles within her small close-knit yet homely village when she reached the age of six. They were absolutely startled by her brazenness, as most people were in mechanical little mindset of keeping to the status quo - silent, observatory and very generous. Everyone was so disgustingly selfless and Elaine seemed to lack that quality. Everyone was so plain and boring and all she ever wanted to do was leave that forsaken village and move to the city. Her parents refused to cave and they lived in that village until Elaine was ten. The first year in the new manor that her father had purchased, Elaine often found herself extremely bored with the life that she now lived. Often times, she would force her personal drivers to simply take her places she knew that would wind up with her in trouble. Due to being a business man, her father often put all his effort and attention into his job rather than his daughter. The only way to get his full attention for even a day or an hour would be for her to act out and do outrageous things, like tamper with the law or even get into things she shouldn't. However, she moved on from this rebellious stage and often times found herself withdrawing from the world around her, as she disliked most people for being generic and boring, Not too long after living in the manor, Elaine had begun to flourish and throw her little tantrums aside when it came to not getting her own way. She was slowly learning right from wrong and what was to be expected by a powerful and rich family. She attended banquets and little meetings with the high ranking community members of her city for years, learning how to become a little lady. Her father had the idea that she would one day take his place in the business world and continue to make the Verkoven family blossom in wealth and success. However, the little jet-black haired girl had other plans than such a dull life. She lived in the family manor until she was old enough to attend Hogwarts and often times, refused to come home on holidays to a mediocre life. |
