Z and Ponyboy

What was Z doing at an animal shelter you ask? He has zero idea, he hates charity work, but his annoyingly decent of a twin brother wanted him to come and was luring him with the idea of adopting a cat. Don't tell anyone but Z was totally coming for the cat, not Ponyboy, though he was sure his brother knew. He glanced around and spotted his twin immediately. With a disinterested expression, he strolled over to the other and raised his eyebrows. "This looks... fun."

We saw the same sunset.” Message Me - 04:46, March 2, 2019 (UTC) Ponyboy looked up at Z and grinned. "Sodapop!" He greeted excitedly, running up to hug the other, even spinning him a bit. It's okay - Ponyboy was ready for death. "You ready to feed some baby kittens?" He asked, eyes literally sparkling. Z was lucky they didn't need much help today. It was mainly just the fun stuff. Like feeding kittens.

Z's eye twitched but he let his brother hugged him and be done with it, not even bothering to grumble--it wouldn't change anything. "No," he muttered, straightening out his clothes after he was released from Ponyboy's killer hold. Was he the hitman or was Ponyboy? Because that kid's hugs could kill.

We saw the same sunset.” Message Me - 05:25, March 2, 2019 (UTC) "Too bad." Ponyboy responded with a cheesy grin. "There's one that won't latch so she has to be fed with a bottle. You can handle that right?" He looked at Z expectantly before deciding that was a "Yes, of course, Ponyboy, I'd be happy to, dear brother!" And that was that. Picking up the small kitten who was only a few weeks old, Ponyboy extended her to Z.

He grimaced, trying to avoid looking at the cat because if he looked at the cat he'd do as Ponyboy said. The kitten was cute. He was weak. He made a groaning sound at the back of his throat and took the kitten, glaring at his brother as he began to feed the kitten. "For your information," he seethed. "I'm adopting this one and no, you can't visit them."

He assured, grinning brightly as he pet the little kitten on its tiny little head. "Do you have a name?" He hummed happily.

"No you will not," he huffed defiantly, glancing down at the kitten. It looked like a girl, with striped grey fur and wide blue eyes. His lips softened into a small smile. Yeah, this was the same guy who killed people for his family's gang for a living. What could he say? He had a weakness for animals. Not so much for humans except one. "I'm going to name her... Sugar."

We saw the same sunset.” Message Me - 05:48, March 3, 2019 (UTC) Ponyboy would definitely visit her, but it was cute that Z thought he could stop him. "Sugar, hm? How sweet." He chuckled, pressing a kiss to the top of the tiny creature's head. "Maybe I'll name mine Spice." Ponyboy mused with a joyful smile. He'd grown fond of one of the Russian Blues that was a few weeks old as well. He'd already talked to the workers about adopting him.

He grimaced, deciding to ignore the horrible pun his brother just made. He continued feeding 'Sugar', staring at the kitten until Ponyboy decided to contribute another highly questionable statement. "Please, for the love of all things holy, do not name yours Spice," Junhee retorted. "Sounds like we're trying to form the Powerpuff Girls or something. I swear if we had a triplet he'd be name his 'Everything Nice' or some stupid shit like that."

We saw the same sunset.” Message Me - 17:58, March 4, 2019 (UTC) Ponyboy just flashed him a cheesy grin, his mind already made up. "I can adopt another one and make that happen." He offered cheekily, knowing that's not what his brother meant. "Besides, these little cuties are pretty powerful anyway. I mean, who can say no to that cuteness?" Ponyboy fawned, using his finger to scratch the top of Sugar's head.

"Don't you dare," Z threatened, making a face. The prospect was ridiculous, and even though he knew it wouldn't stop Ponyboy, he might as well stop his twin from embarrassing himself by naming his kittens such ridiculous things. "At least name them after an actual Powerpuff girl. Not the ingredients."

He explained, holding up a finger to tell Z to wait. He went off and came back a minute later with a small grey fur ball. "Meet Smokey! He and Sugar are gonna be best friends." Ponyboy declared happily.

"Smokey, I can live with," he said with a sigh of relief. He finished feeding Sugar and put the bottle down on a table somewhere. "Are they twins?" he asked, glancing between the two kittens. They looked oddly alike, but the sizes of their eyes were different. "That'd be... nice, if they were twins," Z admitted. Twin kittens for twin brothers.

They came from the same litter." He explained, holding Smokey to his chest. "But I guess these two look pretty similar. They can be twins." Ponyboy decided with a big grin.

"...right." He didn't really care regardless. Besides he was here for the kittens, not for his stupidly smol brother. "Anyway." He turned his attention back down to Sugar, cradling the kitten in his hands as the small ball of fur flopped around, trying to stand up on his hands. Cute baby animals and children, his only weaknesses. He'd never be strong enough to resist the urge to pet a baby kitten. "Is this the only thing we're gonna do? Stand around and feed kittens?" Not that he had a problem with that, but he wasn't going to admit it.

It's not too hard though." He explained with a reassuring smile. "Which do you want to do first?"

None of it. He really didn't want to anything, and he made it very evident on his face. He sighed and followed Ponyboy's example, setting Sugar down in the pen as well. "Guess we'll start with the baths," he said, eventually giving in. The sooner he got over with the taxing jobs, the faster the time would go by, and the sooner he could get out of here.
