That was Cecilia back then. Cecilia now, is much, much different. She has long gotten over her social anxiety, and has began to carry herself more confidently than ever before. She carries a smile on her face a lot of the time, but her ways of showing confusion will never grow older than her. She has overcome the language barrier she had earlier in her life, and as a result of this, she is much less afraid of people. She speaks much more comprehensively and a lot more confidently, knowing that she won't just mess up in her talk.
Cecilia, born Cecilia Lynn Holland-Reichert, was born to the Swedish wizard Lars Reichert, and Dutch witch Courtney Holland, in England. She was born a year later after her parents got married. Cecilia didn't have the most regular of childhood times. Whenever she was left to play with other little kids, they made fun of her. Initially, she thought they were wanting to be friends, but when it started to get physical, she knew they weren't friendly. Helpless, and unable to converse, for her first language was Swedish, Cecilia has been scarred in her childhood. Her father, Lars, had seen the sadness in Cecilia's eyes, and stopped taking her outside to play. He, and Courtney, Cecilia's mother, tried to do whatever they could to make her happy. Cecilia became a little more happy later on, but still couldn't overcome the fear of making friends. She often spent her birthdays alone, with her parents, because she had no actual friends. After having broken out of her little tight bubble, she became more responsive to her parents. Her parents taught her how to read, write and speak Swedish, since her dad liked to visit Sweden so often. Cecilia remembers the time when her dad took her to Sweden, and there is where she made some real friends whom she could talk to. Lars took Cecilia to other places too, like the Netherlands, where Cecilia learned that her mother was born there. He also took her to a variety of other places, to meet some of Cecilia's grandparents, as well as her cousins and whatnot. As Cecilia turned 9, her parents remembered the importance of Cecilia's education. They began teaching her how to read, write and speak English, but Cecilia herself, found it difficult to learn, because she had a bit of a learning difficulty and needed more explanation, in Swedish, to truly understand things. On her 10th birthday, her parents had told her that she would go to Hogwarts. She was excited, but then she was afraid at the same time. She knew no one, and would need to speak English a lot. Her mother told her that it'd be nothing to be afraid of. Her time in Hogwarts, is starting to show whether she's bending or breaking... First year, Cecilia encountered a boy named Brandon. Brandon Drade. She was somewhat scared of him... but when he couldn't hold himself together, after his soul was, perhaps, crushed by Cecilia's innocence, she held him, and they became friends. Soon before you know it, they had fun together. And kissed. For one, her family was stunned. Lars had never thought this possible... yet, he was proud of Cecilia. She turned someone's life around. Cecilia may not have realized it, but it all went up for her... Beyond that, first and second year were full of... well, nothing. But Cecilia has plans for third year. Let's see how this will play out for her... Third year wasn't the best. She played for the Gryffindor Quidditch Team... only to get removed after her first game. She was deeply saddened by this, but she moved past it, determined to get back on the team again. In the time between her third and fourth years, Cecilia had actually grown taller. At one point, she knew she was taller than her twin sister, Mathia. She never expected to become much taller than that. It became clear to her that she had definitely outgrown her family, when, in beginning of her fifth year, she had an encounter with Meadow Maestro, a fellow yearmate. Meadow jokingly called Ceci "Amazon Queen", which quickly attached to Ceci, because she found something about the title that she refuses to let go of. |
Meadow is a Slytherin in Cecilia's year... and the first person to actually notice that Cecilia had grown really tall. Cecilia always feels like she makes Meadow look small, but truth be told, they're good friends. {{{Acquaintances}}} {{{Romance}}} |
