Jaden Griffith was truly the brightest wizard of his generation. Descended from the Shacklebolt family, with pure blood, and a natural affinity for leadership, Jaden was sharp-minded and ambitious, always focused on a goal and always determined to accomplish it. That's why it was surprising to everyone who knew him, that he ended up marrying Kara Lovngooth, a fellow pure-blood who was quite the opposite of Jaden, at least, personality wise. She was just as strong as Jaden was in magic, and was even more agile when it came to quick-thinking, but unlike him, she was an extremely reckless individual as a teenager.
Before marrying Kara, he had been dating another girl in Seventh year named Sierra Tygress, which he had discussed marriage with. Strangely enough, just two weeks before their graduation, Sierra and Jaden broke up. Kara, influenced by her parents, saw an opportunity for more wealth, and more importantly, power and sought after Jaden's attention. She got it successfully, and two years later, they were wed in June. During this time, Jaden had joined the Ministry of Magic and quickly rose to a high position under the Department of Technological Advancement.
Jaden remained in the department for two decades, eventually rising to head in his seventh year and later retired thirteen years later. Meanwhile, his wife, Kara became a Transfiguration professor at Hogwarts for a decade, and then became an auror, the current job she still holds today. Three years into their marriage, the two began talking about children and had their first child a year later.
Somewhere down the road, Kara began getting bored with Jaden and her family, and had some flings here and there, which resulted in two more children who she gave off to adoption services, unwilling to let Jaden discover her unfaithfulness. Before those unfortunate events, however, Kara gave birth to little Willow Selene Griffith. A sweet child who ironically despised betrayal.
Growing up, Willow had a great childhood filled with love and joy. She had a loving father, a mother who provided, and siblings whom she adored. It was, in a since, perfect. Coming from a family of pure-blood wizards, it was no surprise when Willow had her first magical experience at the age of seven. The lightbulb in her little brother's room had gone out and he was crying. He was afraid of the dark, and their other siblings were not at home. After trying desperately to reach the lightbulbs that had been stuck on the top shelf, Willow finally gave up and resorted to simply comforting her brother. It wasn't working and the boy still cried. She had to get those bulbs. In a fit of frustration, she caused the bulbs to fall right into her outstretched hands. Proud and relieved, she popped one into his lamp and just like that, everything was right in the world.
She never lost her helpful and considerate nature as she went into school. Willow made plenty of friends and thrived in all her classes, though potions gave her some trouble. She graduated and said goodbye to the peers she'd grown so close to over the years. But it was time for the next part of her life, and she was ready for it. Well, somewhat ready. She still had no clue what profession she wanted to go into, but with her family's wealth, that was no problem. This time was really just about finding herself and becomming the person she was always meant to be.
