Daegu isn't known to be a particularly pleasant person. Outspoken and reckless, he rarely pays mind to other people's feelings and emotions, rather speaking whenever he feels like it on situations that don't concern him. He's not huge on empathy, but he's decent enough to share a few qualms of sadness or regret with someone else. Regardless, he's not afraid to talk shit to someone, especially if he thinks they need it. He's a hardcore realist, and a bit of a pessimist when it comes to life and believes it's a dog eat dog type of world.
Daegu's cold as ice, with several walls up around his heart. Despite his inclination to hurt everyone around him, he doesn't want to be hurt and because of this, he often strays from close relationships. He doesn't have many friends for a reason, mainly because he tends isolate himself with the exception of his brothers. He hates having to rely on people and even though he doesn't show it, he feels terrible when people try to rely on him when he knows he's incapable of being a reliable person. Even then, he's incredibly loyal to those who manage to enter his heart.
Observant, despite Daegu's rash and abrupt nature, he's actually quite intelligent. He's quite street smart as he was prone to sneaking out a lot when he was younger, and knows his way around shady figures. He's a little short of brilliant, though this will never leave his headspace for as long as his heart remains fortified with walls of rage. Whenever this rage manifests emotionally, he's a force to be reckoned with. True to his cold nature, his rage is less fiery and more like the freezing chills of a raging blizzard in the winter time.
Daegu has a lot of trust issues when it comes to anyone outside his family. He's experienced being used multiple times and despises not being in complete control of the things that affect him which feeds into his recklessness and occasional lashing out. He prefers spending most of his time alone or with his brothers because then he knows the only one who can manipulate him there is himself.

The Kang Clan is a family of very wealthy South Koreans that acquired their money though questionable means. No one knows how they came to their wealth, but no one bothers to question the powerful tycoons. It's still a mystery, but most believe the family makes up its own mob. Kang Taejong, one of the younger Kangs, took a different route with his money and set up a successful clubbing chain, Seesaw Clubs. It was at one of these clubs that he met Anastasia Maverick, sister to the CEO Arlon Maverick of the infamous Euphoria Corporation. She was not wealthy like her brother, but her personality more than made up for it. The spunky girl from America stole his heart and soon became part of the Kang Clan herself.
A few years down the road, Anastasia became pregnant with triplet boys. Wanting to commemorate all the cities where she and Taejong had their first milestones (first date, first kiss, and engagement), she named the three boys Daegu, Seoul, and Daejeon. The trio grew up inseparable. They did everything together. They still fought and argued of course, but they'd also kill anyone who dared do the same to one of them.
Daegu wasn't always a hot mess. He's actually pretty tame as a child, though he liked being outside of the stuffy environment that family wealth kept him in. He snuck out often to hang out in the streets of city. A little kid who just happened to be a member of one of the richest families in Asia hanging around in the streets of a fast-paced city? What could go wrong? Despite his age and naivety, he quickly absorbed the street smarts necessary to navigate such a dangerous world. It didn't stop him from being manipulated however.
He was repeatedly tricked into scams under the premise that he was helping the "right people". At some point, he even aided in the framing and imprisoning of an innocent man under the belief that he was the true criminal. Once these faults had been revealed to him, immense guilt piled onto him until he couldn't stand it anymore and began lashing out at anyone around him, trying to make imaginary people understand that it wasn't his fault.
From then on, he kept his person heavily guarded and strayed from interacting with anyone save for his brothers. His first magical experience happened in the streets as well, at the age of 10. Witnessing a woman being cornered by a shady figure, he took the risk of saving her by distracting the stranger and getting them to chase him. Just as the stranger was catching up on him, he passed a fire hydrant that immediately shot a powerful pressurized stream of water towards the stranger, knocking him over and allowing Daegu to escape.
Now that they're in England, Daegu decided he had some sort of a new start, and instead of treading on the thin ice, he intends to break it completely. Hogwarts definitely isn't a fan of him.
