When Margaux is determined to do something, you bet she'll go out of her way and do whatever it takes to do it. She's ambitious and will work as hard as she needs to to get to whatever her goals want to take her. Her ambition is the reason how she actually found her biological mother. It wasn't something she was easily given. Truly, her parents had made it harder for her to find the truth. Yet, she did. Found her mother, too. She knows that her hard work will pay off, so she pushes through no matter what. This set of mind also drives her through school, always studying before a test or if she's needing extra help grade-wise. Doing well in school has always been important for herself, knowing good grades led to a well-paying job. That well-paying job would help her buy a decently nice house which led onto one thing to another... and so it's important for her she can reach her goals by hard work. She doesn't like to be easily handed things either. Honestly, if she didn't want to try, she didn't have to. Her parents were rich pure-bloods who could buy themselves and her whatever they wanted. Yet, it was almost like she chose not to be easily spoiled. Instead of having her parents by that new pair of expensive shoes she wanted, she got a job and bought them herself. She didn't want to use any of their money on her stuff. She went out there and worked hard to do the spending for herself. As well as another part of her not liking to feel like she owes anything to anyone. She'll rarely ask favors for someone, and although partially it's because she'd most likely want to do whatever the favor was herself, she just doesn't like the feeling that she owes that person a debt in return. Who knows what they might ask? And although a lot of favors are small, similar to just copying off someone's homework or getting help from someone in a harder class. Margaux just would rather figure it out herself. Avoid any help (and favors). This can also sometimes lead to the problem of not asking help when she needs it, wanting to be more independent than what should be. She wants to do everything by herself, but that's impossible at times when can lead everything to crash.
Although she's tried to be better about it over time, Margaux can be angered quite easily. Some may she's a hot head; although, if anyone ever dares to call her that, their mouths will be spelled shut in a matter of seconds. Any mean words directed her way, even if they were not solely purposefully mean, can set her off. Although she's never done anything major to lose her good reputation at school, she's made sure in the past for people to regret what they may have said. Or she never talks to that person again and pretend they don't exist, which is usually the more preferred option. She can't but hold a grudge either. She's a big grudge-holder. Oh, you called me dumb four years ago? Too bad, I'm still upset. Though, even if she's angered easily and will occasionally a bit of a temper, Margaux's usually quite chill. Collected. Stress doesn't get to her ever, and it shows. When not in rage, she's quite the opposite. Happy. Cool. A smile resting on her face. It's hard to find an in between with her.
Admittedly, Margaux's a bit of a flirt. With guys, girls, the cashier at her favorite store, and just about anyone else. Admittedly, most of the time she doesn't want anything from her flirting. She'd most likely rather not let it go anywhere past that either. In fact, she labels herself as demisexual and would prefer to know someone well enough before even thinking about pursuing any type of relationship. It's all for enjoyment if we're being totally honest here. Not to get a person into doing something for her - because she would do it by herself - but it's almost like a part of her. Flirting, that is. She's done it and been oblivious to it even be flirting. That's been a problem in the past, other students at Beauxbatons not realizing she didn't mean anything by it if she came off flirty. Yet, somehow, she's been relationship-free through those seven years... so that counts at something, doesn't it? Really, guess this trait of hers made more sense when she figured she was a veela. Or half-veela. Whatever. She still has a lot to learn about that side of her - and what parts of her are from her veela blood - so guess this could count.
There's not much to say about Louis Lefévre except he had always been a narcissistic, rich prick who's loyalty could be counted on about the same as a doorknob. Though, guess you can count on a doorknob to open a door for you, so even that was more loyal than him. He was a pure-blood wizard who had been arranged to marry another pure-blood wizard that he attended Beauxbatons in the same year as, Camille Moreau. They were married as soon as both were graduated. If someone had only seen a glimpse of the two, they might think it was love. Camille surely liked to pretend it was. No matter how many times Louis cheated, she forgave and forgot. Honestly, opposite to her terrible husband, some might say she was too loyal. Too forgiving, that was for sure.
Margaux was the result to one of Louis's affairs. He had been on a business trip to England when he had met an unbelievably beautiful woman, which ultimately led to a one-night fling. Only once, yet it led to the woman - who would seen to be found out her name was Alannah and was actually a Veela - getting pregnant, who didn't hesitate to track down Louis and tell him she didn't want the child. She was young and didn't even know what she wanted to do in life. She wouldn't be able to afford taking care of a child either. So, Louis told Camille, who was not pleased in the slightest but forgave him anyway. And, so Louis's reputation would stay intact, they played the child off as Camille's. They didn't tell anyone, not even Margaux herself.
Margaux Lefévre, her whole life, always believed she was just as much as a child of Camille as she was Louis. Just as much shared blood with both her parents as her little brother, Raphael. There was always parts of her that she couldn't quite understand. How can she always tell when a storm is about to come? How come she knew exactly how to heal others from the top of her head? Why could she do this? Why could she do that? Louis and Camille always played it off that it probably had to do with her first experiences with accidental magic. Margaux believed them. Though, technically, her first sign of magic was when she was ten - and, oh, did she have no idea how late it had come, since she believed her first sign of magic was around the age of five. Her room had been a face and her mother had told her to clean it. Now, she wanted to have a clean room, but she was feeling extra lazy that day and wasn't in the mood. Luckily, with a lick of magic, it cleaned itself, and she didn't have to worry about a thing.
She attended Beauxbatons a little over a year later, in which she excelled in school. She was extremely intelligent when it came to classes and studied more often than the average student. She also didn't fall lackluster when it came to her magic - despite being such a late bloomer with it - and it never took more than a couple tries to complete a spell. Beauxbatons is also where figured some more things about herself. Firstly, the more she seemed to age through the years, the more people seemed to admire her beauty. It seemed to be a common compliment to say when they saw her. And secondly, people seemed to really like giving her what she wanted, but it was almost different than just that. It was almost as if she had some weird ability that made people want to keep her happy. (Spoiler alert: it was a weird ability that made people want to keep her happy.) And, well, everything seemed to add up when she found herself learning about veelas. She didn't believe it at first of course, but she had suspicions. Her suspicions had been confirmed during the summer after her sixth year, in which she found herself snooping and ended up figuring out everything. Well, not everything. But enough to confront her parents.
They told her everything. Well, Camille did. Louis kept trying to play along with the lie and tell her she was wrong, but Camille spilled it all. Even the woman's name. Margaux was infuriated. Why hadn't her parents ever told her? Ever? In her seventeen years of life, nothing. They lied. And, she didn't want to ever look at them again. So, she did the only thing she could think of doing. Found Alannah - her full-veela mother - and flew to England to stay with her. Bad news was, well, England's very anti half-breed at the moment. She'd been called dumb by many people by going there while others were desperately trying to run, but she had to see her mother. Her biological mother. Figure out this whole veela part of her, too.
