Hello Darp! I am here to discuss the addition of a new department, Human Resources. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this wouldn't be the first adaption of such a department on this wiki, and in light of resent events it appears to be certainly needed once more.
What is Human Resources you may ask. Well hey would be fully in charge of the welcoming committee for new users. Being among the first to owl them, working hand in hand with S&S to look over their forums, guide them through making pages and word bubbles, keeping up with rps, answering any and every question, also potentially act as a helping hand to other departments during low seasons. And of course, most importantly, acting as mediators. Any complaints from regs would go to them, who'll in turn help them select the next course of action.
Human Resources will be the department elected by the people, ran by the people, for the people. The team will be equipped with one admin acting as the department's head, and two rollbacks under it.
In terms of how elections will go for this department, they will be taking place after the current ones and they will also be ran a little bit differently. Instead of just being able to put your name up for Human Resources. You need two have three users supporting you as a future Human Resources member before you can be considered for a spot. The reason this is a rule is because we really want to make sure this department is for the people.

I'm not voting for or against...just a couple thoughts. First in the past this function has been done by the OOC Department. OOC does handle things like coding and templates but honestly there's only so much of that type of OOC work you can do. Is there a reason these duties need to be separated from that Department? Secondly is the precedence brought up in the original comment. Will this Dept. have a Crat/Admin/RBs like the others and we're expanding to 4 Crats/admins? That was why this Department didn't work out last time we tried to create it...we didn't have enough people for the admin team to make and run an additional Department. Given how many elections we seem to be having recently around here will that be an issue? The reasoning behind a whole new dept as opposed to OOC doing this work is that people wanted a department specifically designed to listen and be there for the people. Whether that be helping new or old users and. Also, as the election will be ran differently for this department (you need to have three users supporting you before you can even be considered for the election) it will truly be a department full of users people want representing them as Darp's HR. As for how it'll work, I mentioned in the pitch but it will be one admin acting as the "head" of sorts and then two rollbacks under them. So it will not be a crat run department, but we will be adding a new admin and two new rollback slots. Hope this answered your question!
