The Open-Ended Questions

A. Please answer the following questions as elaborately as possible. (Remember, this part is only a requirement for your third to fifteenth character! However, if you want to have more input on where you character is sorted, then please answer #6!)

1) What would you consider to be your character's strengths, and your character's weaknesses? Elaborate on your answer.

+ smart, means well
- anxiety-ridden, awkward

2) What goals and objectives has your character set out in their life? Is it to be successful and rich? Is it to find happiness? Why?

Currently, his only objective is to get through Hogwarts without getting expelled. His mother would absolutely kill him. He'd like to get an internship at WizCo, though, at some point, and maybe even work for them once he has graduated.

3) What's their ideal way of spending a free day? Why so?

Andrew rarely ever has free days, because his parents are always so hard on him to be studying and all that, but when he does have his free day, he likes to spend his hours tinkering away with old electronics, trying to make them work even with magic. He works on cars, too, in his free time, and enjoys riding his broomstick around the neighborhood. He's a big quidditch fan, so when he can, he plays with his siblings.

4) If your character could only keep 5 possessions, what would they be? Why?

  1. His wand. Even though it's explosive and probably causes more harm than good, it was actually his dad's first wand. It has sentimental value.
  2. His red Hawaiian shirt, if only because it's his signature look when it's buttoned only halfway, he's got his black jeans, his curls are untamed. He looks good, alright?
  3. His workshop, at the basement of his home. It's his little tinkering spot. His safe-haven. Merlin forbid anyone actually touches it.
  4. He has a box, of old parts from radios, phones and other little things he's dismantled. Although they're essentially useless, he likes to busy himself by trying to find new uses to them.
  5. His dad's red 1962 Chevrolet Corvette. It's going to be his one day, his father promised him. All his sons would get something - the car was his. Her name's Lola.

5) What one thing would your character change about the wizarding society? Why?

Andrew would probably find ways to integrate technology to day-to-day wizarding lives. You know the kind of future that people in the 20th century envisioned? With flying cars, immortality, all that? That's what Andrew wants. Think Meet the Robinsons.

6) What house does your character want to be in? What house does your character not want to be in? Why?

Truth be told, Andrew has no idea which house is for what, so he wouldn't be bothered with whatever he got.

The Character's Background

1) Give a description of your character's personality. Are you noble or sneaky? Arrogant or Humble? Anything about your character that might help the Sorting Hat decide. (Don't worry, you can copy this onto your character page later!) (Remember, personality must be at least one paragraph long for the first two characters, two paragraphs long for the third to eighth characters, and three paragraphs long for the ninth to fifteenth!)

Andrew Spencer is nothing if not a dork. He's a klutz, and he's awkward, but he knows how to hold down the fort. He's selfless, but in the annoying, my cause of death is going to be being too shy to call an ambulance bc someone else might've needed it more and I didn't wanna inconvenience them kind of way. He's sweet, and usually has good intentions, but for the life of him he always ends up screwing up somehow. Take for example that one time he tried to pick up the books for this one girl that fell over. He ended up with a huge bump on his forehead from how hard he slammed into her. He's a walking, breathing disaster.
He has the attention span of a two year old. Really. There's that one time he was trying to study for a Potions exam, and a bug landed on his pencil. He ended up naming him Bentley and having an entire conversation with him about the meaning of life. (Yes, he failed the exam.) He gets distracted easily and he zones out a lot, usually because his mind is running a thousand miles a minute and he doesn't have that ability to focus on just one thing at a time. It's a nightmare, really. But surprisingly, Andrew actually works really well under pressure. It's when he gets the most things done. (Especially if it's at night. He prefers to sleep during the day, y'know?)
Believe it or not, though, Andrew is still the more social twin. He likes going out and interacting with people, even if it means he's probably going to end up making himself look like an idiot. He talks a lot, and tends to ramble, but it's only because there's so much to say in what is usually a very short amount of time. Even though he suffers from anxiety, and is highkey a very insecure person, Andrew loves meeting other people and getting to know them. Of course, he later over analyzes every single thing he does or says, but that's not the point, is it? He's excellent at giving advice, even if he's shit at following through with it himself, and he's a great judge of character.

2) Write about the history of your character. How did they grow up? Is there an incident that made them the way they are? etc. (Again, you can copy this onto your character page later!) (Remember, history must at least be two paragraphs long for the first two characters, three paragraphs long for the third to eighth character, and four paragraphs long for the ninth to fifteenth character!)

Although you can technically define them as high school sweethearts, it wasn't sunshine and daisies the entire time. They met as first years, and experienced what they'd later try to claim was love at first sight. They crushed on each other for two years and a half, afraid to ruin the friendship they had. It wasn't until third year when Louis Spencer got his head out of his ass and asked Gwendolyn to be his girlfriend. It was a dramatic affair, really, because it was in the middle of a quidditch match, while he was defending her from the other team so she'd catch the snitch.
They only lasted a grand total of six months. It was an at school only kind of relationship, by any means toxic, and they both knew Louis wasn't going to be loyal for three months without actually seeing his girlfriend. Gwen didn't want to date someone who'd potentially cheat on her, and swiftly ended what they had going on. It took a total of one week for them to get over each other; Louis was a popular guy back home in Orlando. He could have anyone. And he did. That summer was a wild one; he ended up losing his virginity to an older chick, messed around with her cousin, and wound up hooking up with said cousin's brother.
It wasn't until seventh year that they got back together. Louis was a playboy - he'd won a reputation at Ilvermorny for sleeping with girls and tossing them aside. Until he met his match: Thunderbird beater Olivia Cobbold. She was a Hogwarts transfer in their year, and the only girl who outright rejected him. And Louis - well, Louis loved himself a good challenge, so he pursued her. It took him an entire year, but by the start of seventh, he'd managed to win her over and score a date. It didn't settle well with Gwendolyn. Sure, what they had was brief, and they'd grown apart after their nasty breakup, but she hadn't realized he'd ever settle down with anyone. Especially someone who wasn't her.
Gwendolyn was nothin if not intense. She confronted them after their first date, much to Olivia's humiliation and Louis' amusement. Could you really blame him? Here was his ex, going crazy over his date with another girl - a girl who had decided they'd ultimately be better off as friends. Although Gwen got what she wanted (Louis), that was an instance he never let her live down. Not when they moved in together fresh out of Ilvermorny, not when they signed on to play pro together, not when they got married, not when they had their children a year after.
Andrew is one of the younger Spencers. First came Sean, Patrick, Peggy, Isaac, Theo and then came him, followed by Freddie & Madi. Truth be told, he was supposed to be born after Freddie. And technically, speaking biologically, he was. But you just had to love Daylight Savings Time. He ended up being born an entire hour before Freddie was. Legally, anyways. Because Andrew is Andrew and he's essentially a carbon-copy of his father, he's never going to let Freddie live it down. He's legally older and that's the tea.
Andrew's childhood wasn't anything remarkable, although his intelligence did become prominent as his parents realized he was more advanced than other kids his age. He was talking, crawling, walking and learning before any other toddler his age. He was gifted. Of course, it was something that also caused problems. He was more advanced, and with it came specific realizations and announcements, like when he told Freddie, Madi & Theo that Santa wasn't real. Yeah, he was that kind of kid. Too smart for his own good. And then there was instance where he somehow managed to fix Lola even though he was just eight and only knew car pieces off what he'd heard from his dad? Though now thinking, that might have been magic. He doesn't remember clearly - he hit himself on the head with one of his dad's tools and was knocked out for a whole day.
Andrew started attending Ilvermorny like the rest of his siblings when he was eleven, where he was promptly sent into Horned Serpent House. He thrived there, like any smart kid would, though teachers soon realized he wasn't as scholarly as they originally expected. He definitely wasn't like Isaac. He spaced out a lot and was more focused on what he enjoyed rather than what the teacher was saying. He had average grades, unlike most of his house, who excelled at everything they did. You see, Andrew is smart, but he has the attention span of a two year old. He'll only get hooked if you present him with something he actually enjoys. That's when he shines brightest.
He was in fourth year when he got expelled. To this day, he still holds to his initial remark: it wasn't his fault. He was working on a little project that went sideways and caused his dormitory to explode. It had been just him and another boy, but while he was lucky enough to go relatively unscathed, the kid got nasty burns. It was either face charges or leave, so his family tried to ease the situation by crossing the pond. Louis had a good job, playing as beater for the USNQT, but he could continue playing in the UK. And Gwen could just get another job. Peggy had already up and gone to own her own business, and they had relatives there, so... it worked out, didn't it?
Of course, there were still issues. Hogwarts initially didn't want to take in Andrew, and it took a lot of begging and reasoning for the school to even consider him as a candidate for transfer. They welcomed Freddie with open arms, but expected Andrew to finish his fourth year at home. Only then would they take him. You should've seen the look on his parents' faces. Worth a million dollars, honestly.

3) Write about your character's appearance. What do they look like? Are you planning on using a certain model for your character? If you already have a picture in mind, you can put it here!

His FC is Tom Holland.

4) Is your character a Pure-Blood, Half-Blood or Muggle-Born? Do you have any notable magical relations? (Remember, you cannot be related to important Harry Potter characters!)

The Spencer Family is pure-blooded, but they haven't got any notable relations.

5) Does your character have any special magical abilities? Or special abilities in general (photographic memory, etc.)? Is he or she of a different magical race, such as Veela, Vampire, Werewolf or the like? Part or half of that magical race counts! (Remember, you cannot have a character with special abilities/of a different magical race as one of your first two characters!)

Nope

6) What year is your character in?

He's about to start his fifth year of schooling.
