The Character's Background

1) Give a description of your character's personality. Are you noble or sneaky? Arrogant or Humble? Anything about your character that might help the Sorting Hat decide. (Don't worry, you can copy this onto your character page later!) (Remember, personality must be at least one paragraph long for the first two characters, two paragraphs long for the third to eighth characters, and three paragraphs long for the ninth to fifteenth!) Let me just say, before you get any wrong ideas, Cristi is not an asshole. Not at heart. She might come across like that at first meeting, and probably stay like that for the very long time it takes for her to trust you, but the truth is that she's just that lovely walking cliché of built up walls to protect herself. Not that she'd ever admit that. She hates clichés. Conversations come easily to her when with those who are like her: other assholes, really. Bitterness is the sweetest taste to her. She's an incredibly quick-witted person. A good sense of humour is always something she values in both herself and her friends, and if you can cope with her fluent sarcasm and be just as petty back to her then she'll definitely find you interesting. She doesn't tolerate stupidity or nonsensical-stuff very well, and doesn't really think twice before insulting someone - which is why she's so grateful to find a kindred spirit. Though she'd never admit it in a million years, what she'd really like is someone just as awfully petty as her who she can snark about people with (her brother doesn't count - he's the one she'd snark about). Friends are an annoying necessity in her life. Being a Slytherin born and bred, Cristina's incredibly shrewd, with a natural eye for business opportunities and chances to propel herself further, whether that's cheating on tests or brewing new potions or hexing people she doesn't like. She's a natural entrepreneur, hence her want to sell potions to fellows students, but she also has a very... crooked moral compass. If you came to her asking to curse someone she likes, you might just find yourself facing your own downfall. Loyalty is everything to her. As much as she talks crap about her brother, she'd happily die for him if it meant he was safe. Something their mother drilled into them from a young age is that you never betray those who have chosen to accept you; that's how you make true enemies, and in a world of magic, it's the most dangerous thing in the world to have an enemy. Thus, she makes a hell of a bodyguard. Cursing people outside of business purposes is something she tends to avoid but damn, if she cares about you, she'd probably kill for you. Her addiction is Cristi's true downfall. Her neutral personality may be semi-asshole, but once the withdrawal kicks in after too long, she's damn near unbearable. She lashes out, casts curses left, right and centre, to hell with the consequences. And when she's buzzed? Well, she becomes a little less of an asshole. If she seems spritely and she's giving away potions for free, she's definitely high; this is the time to talk to her if you want to make friends.

2) Write about the history of your character. How did they grow up? Is there an incident that made them the way they are? etc. (Again, you can copy this onto your character page later!) (Remember, history must at lea

st be two paragraphs long for the first two characters, three paragraphs long for the third to eighth character, and four paragraphs long for the ninth to fifteenth character!) You see, the thing about Romania is witchcraft is not downplayed and dismissed like it is in other countries. No, instead it is alive and well. And that is how Cristi and Costin's mother grew to country-wide fame. Or infamy, if you wish - one of the best witches of the country, she was not magic but blood but instead by charm, known for casting curses and bringing both fortune and misery on those all for business. The ignorant wizards amongst us would call her a Muggle, but it was clear by her success rate that there was no way this woman didn't have a single drop of magical blood in her body. And maybe it's those one or two drops that spawned the true magic in her twin children - and this is where the story begins.

As far as the twins are concerned, a stork dropped them on the doorstep: a father is nowhere in the picture, and honestly, Cristi is fine with that. Men are garbage, anyway. Along with her brother, Cristi was taught in the ways of both white and dark magic, learning everything from crystal balls and tarot cards to potion making - something she took a particular liking to. Her mother's success grew and grew, but as the twins reached around six or seven, she started facing competition. Witchcraft is such a popular custom in Romania that it is not uncommon for witches to lose steam once new, younger ones pop onto the scene, and that is exactly what happened. Her mother's customers began moving elsewhere, to witches who claimed to cast stronger spells, so they moved. All the way to the UK. But not before her mother cursed everybody who betrayed her.

England is grey and dull, Cristi quickly found, and witchcraft was nowhere near as popular. Her mother lost popularity with no customers, despite the growing Romanian population in the heart of London; so, she began using her curses on bigger projects. She often cursed politicians she doesn't like. Why do you think the leader of UKIP keeps quitting?

Cristi was ten when she realised that guess what, her and her brother actually are magic. It came when their mother walked in on Cristi casually levitating Costin over a lake - and then dropped him in sheer fright when she came on storming in, yelling and shrieking. The letter came the next day and well, the rest is history.

3) Write about your character's appearance. What do they look like? Are you planning on using a certain model for your character? If you already have a picture in mind, you can put it here!

FC is Wilma Harju 4) Is your character a Pure-Blood, Half-Blood or Muggle-Born? Do you have any notable magical relations? (Remember, you cannot be related to important Harry Potter characters!) Muggleborn

5) Does your character have any special magical abilities? Or special abilities in general (photographic memory, etc.)? Is he or she of a different magical race, such as Veela, Vampire, Werewolf or the like? Part or half of that magical race counts! (Remember, you cannot have a character with special abilities/of a different magical race as one of your first two characters!)

No 6) What year is your character in? Fourth
