Donna is sardonic, sassy and quick witted. She's not about dealing with anyone's rubbish and therefore will call people out whenever she's tired of them. For this reason, some people perceive her as rude, but in reality, she's just truthful. On a similar note, she can be considered quite vain, since she does have a habit of constantly (and loudly) praising, exalting and complimenting herself (unsurprisingly, her favourite hobby).
Aside from narcissism, Donna also has a penchant for kleptomania. She'll occasionally steal things (really arbitrary things like quills or an empty roll of parchment just for literally no reason at all besides trying to amuse herself. It's not malicious, it's just out of boredom. For this reason, she's not really seen as a threat.
Donna is quite spiritual and superstitious - she claims to have multiple past lives and alter-egos, from whom she draws advice and inspiration from regularly. Donna believes in multiple conspiracy theories and will talk to you about them forever. Her parents partially blame this on the fact that she grew up as an only child and thus talked to herself a lot, but also blame part of it on the fact that she's a seer and must have seen some weird premonitions in the past.

The de' Medici House is an ancient and powerful one, known primarily for being a Florentine Mercantile family, who rose to prominence in Italy during the Renaissance period. The Medici's enjoyed a luxurious reign, controlling the Florentine republic, and produced many popes, bankers and nobles who scattered across Europe. By the 18th century, the Casa de' Medici was wilting, and it didn't look to good for the remaining members of the house. For Giovanni de Medici, a shrewd man who was part of the Medici clan during the eighteenth century, the best course of action would be to leave Italy before the financial situation got....messy. And so he did.
You see, Giovanni wasn't like the other Medici's. He was only a minor offshoot of the Medici family tree, so he had married by choice. It just so happened that the woman he married, Sofia, was a witch. They had to leave, in order to save themselves on charges of heresy and also embezzlement. So they left: travelling to England, in an attempt to save themselves. Giovanni's plan worked - it allowed for them to continue the Medici line in secret and without fear of persecution.
Flash forward three hundred years later: Giovanni and Sofia de Medici's descendants, Cosimo and Lucrezia de Medici, who have been trying for a child for almost ten years, finally conceive successfully. Nine months later, the child is born - her name, Donatella. Donatella, or Donna, was the miracle child. She grew up alone, but she didn't mind. Her parents were both businesspeople, and they were always at work, but it meant that Donna learnt how to fend for herself.
But Donna wasn't like other children - not only had she inherited magical ability from her mum and dad, but she had also inherited the Sight. Her inner eye was particularly strong, as it allowed her to see the past, as well as the future. Donna's first sign of magic came at the age of nine. She had a past vision - where she was able to draw her ancestors, Giovanni and Sofia escaping Florence. Her parents were shocked as to how she knew this information from such a young age. When Donna explained, it was clear that she possessed the inner eye. At the age of eleven, she received her letter of acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
