Hello everyone! Essentially this vote is to clarify a certain notion that we've been upholding, or at least encouraged users to be considerate when thinking about certain face-claims. To specify, people who have passed away. I like to think that this is rather straightforward but roleplay communities generally ban fc's who have passed away out of respect. However, we just want to clarify where we draw the line and whether we should have a black and white policy or allow exceptions, or simply not follow this policy at all.

Option One:

  • We don't allow anyone who has passed away to be used as a faceclaim.
    • This includes anyone who passes away even if they have already been claimed as a faceclaim. You would need to change the FC.

Option Two:

  • We do allow people who passed away more than twenty years ago as face claims
    • For example: Marilyn Monroe
  • People who die of old age
  • People who died of unnatural causes or before their time (e.g. Carrie Fischer, Heath Ledger) would not be allowed.
  • If a model passes away from natural causes then they would be allowed to remain as an FC. If they die from unnatural causes, then they would need to be changed.

Option Three:

  • We allow anyone to be used as faceclaims, regardless of their status but encourage people to be considerate.
  • If a user is being thought to be insensitive, then they will be asked to change the model
    • For example, if anyone makes a Heath Ledger character who struggles with substance abuse, they'd be asked to change the model (at the very least).

The vote will end the 12th of July, thank you!

Death is death imho so, whichever choice made, the second option is the most inconsistent and I feel like it's better to have either option one or option three
