GC is probably one of the kindest people you'll ever meet. He can be thought of as overly apologetic and has a weak spot for everyone (even for the people he doesn't necessarily like). He has this need to help people in many shape or form and tends to get anxiety when he hasn't done so in a while. This might make him appear weak or fragile to most, even though he really isn't.
GC is one to pass out compliments, especially to females, because despite what his name might suggest, he's straight. Unlike other flirty people, he's more subtle and polite about it. Along with this, he tends to protect females more than he protects males, even though he knows they can do anything a male can do. He makes sure he doesn't display this openly because of his twin being a feminist (even though he believes in equal rights as well, it's just so she doesn't flip out on him).
GC isn't the kind of person that you want to annoy. He has a fiery temper that doesn't appear that often since his more innocent and helpful nature likes to override it. It's still there though, he knows that, and he refuses to ever let it see the light of day. Or the darkness of night, for that matter.
7) Write about the history of your character. History must be at least two paragraphs long. How did they grow up? Is there an incident that made them the way they are? etc. (Again, you can copy this onto your character page later!)
Gertrude Chastity and Gaylord Cannon Evans were born to Maria and Quentin Evans, second and third of seven, all of whom had the weirdest and most embarrassing name their parents could think of. Personally, GC no. 1 thinks she got off quite easily, compared to Gaylord Cannon, whose name had to have been a joke. GC no. 2 completely agrees and used to be quite jealous of how lucky she got. The siblings are half-bloods, with a pure-blooded mother and a muggle-born father, and grew up knowing more about the muggle world than most wizarding children, apparently.
When Gaylord was younger, he would spent hours a day out on the quidditch field. He normally played seeker, chasing after the snitch, catching it, releasing, then repeat. At some point in time, he would let Gertrude send bludgers at him (although he admits that he did so because she wasn't very good at it). She's better now, he admits that too, but he's glad she decided to go with being a chaser. The Evans household was managed by magic, unless the kids managed to anger their mother enough to be subjected to that which they dreaded most - chores. For their first seven years or so, the GCs went by Gertrude and Gaylord, until Gertrude decided she didn't like her name and followed EQ's example by restyling herself as GC, and Gaylord realised what his name meant and immediately followed suit.
GC no. 2's first sign of magic was a week and a half after his twin's when they were eight years old. It had been around noon on a Saturday and he had decided to sleep in. For some reason, GC no. 1 was trying to wake him up, causing groans of frustration and tired whines. After several minutes of his sister nudging him over and over again, not to mention the screaming in his ears, he sent his nearby broomstick into her stomach. The force sent her backwards and luckily she didn't hit her head, but he had apologized for minutes. She still teases about it sometimes, but he's learned to ignore it somehow.
Once he reached age eleven, he received his letter to Hogwarts, which he happily accepted. Upon arrival, he was sorted into (WIP).
