1) Give a history of your character. History must be at least two paragraphs long. How did they grow up? Is there an incident that made them the way they are? etc.
Kapil's parents met in England. His parents were both Indian-England and lived in England. Kapil's fathers mother was married to an english-man, giving him the last name of Morrison. His father and mother still had strong beliefs in their Indian heritage, and decided to name him Kapil after his mother's uncle, who had basically raised her in england after her father was killed in the Indian fight against Britain.
Kapil Morrison was born on May 30 in London, England. He was a city-kid, that was for sure. In grade school, he was very quiet, and usually kept to himself. He was a muggle-born, and when he got the letter when he was twelve, he was very shocked. He had a lot of difficulty believing in magic, and it took him a while to get used to. His father was the most shocked, believing completely in his religion. He didn't want to accept the magical abilities Kapil had gotten, and had shunned him. In Kapil's family, that was considered very dishonorable toward his family that he would be like that.
Kapil did end up going to Hogwarts school, despite his father's wishes, and was sorted into Hufflepuff. At Hogwarts, he was a completely different person. Everyone thought he was a very funny kid. He was very popular at school. It was Kapil's way of ignoring his father's disproval of magic. Every year when he came back for holiday, his father would hardly speak to him, which was difficult.
When Kapil was going into his fourth year at Hogwarts, he yelled at his father and told him that if he didn't support his magical abilities, he never wanted to see him again. His father didn't care at first, but a month of Kapil being alone on the streets, he changed his mind. Kapil's mother didn't like any of the fighting that the two did, and it made her really emotional. Kapil's father eventually begged for forgiveness from Kapil, and they went back to being a big happy family again.
Kapil was not the most talented wizard at spell use, but other than that, Kapil was talented in other subjects such as Potions, Magical History, and of course Muggle Studies. When Kapil graduated, he decided to try and get involved with more Muggle buisnesses, but he craved to use magic, and it taunted him. He needed to be around magic. He missed it. He wished he could've simply gone back to the way it was before magic came to his life, but it was too difficult.
At an age of 28, Kapil Morrison decided to apply for a job position teaching Muggle Studies at Hogwarts School.
2) Give a description of your character's personality. Personality must be at least one paragraph long. Are you noble or sneaky? Arrogant or humble? Kapil is very enthusiastic, funny, and kind. He is very into the students lives and caring for what they do. He very often jokes around with students, and sometimes seems like he is just like them. He tries to keep his class lively despite the difficultness of it.
3) Are you Pure-Blood, Half-Blood or Muggle-Born? Do you have any notable magical relations? (Remember, you cannot be related to important Harry Potter characters!) Muggle-Born. Maybe if Ghandi were a wizard, which I believe he was.
4) Does your character have any special magical abilities? Or special abilities in general (photographic memory, etc.)? Is he or she of a different magical race, such as veela, vampire, werewolf or the likes? Part or half of that magical race counts! (Remember, you cannot have an "exotic" characters as your first two characters!)
