1) Write about your character's appearance. What do they look like? Please include both the model's name and a picture.
James Quaintance III (Jimmy Q)
2) Is your character a Pure-Blood, Half-Blood or Muggle-Born? Do you have any notable magical relations? This does include a roleplayed family. (Remember, you cannot be related to important characters from the Harry Potter Universe!)
Half-Blood - His dad is a former Azkaban prisoner (currently in the psychiatric ward at a magical hospital in the US). His surname may or may not be on a list somewhere.
3) Is your character considered Exotic? If so, what category do they fall under? Part or half of that magical race counts! Remember, you must do at least two questions related to your exotic in the interview!
Half-Breed/Part-Nymph
4) What is your character's profession? Does your character plan to enrol your character into the Ministry of Magic? Does your character not work? Is your character a teacher?
He's an artist and he's planning on getting a job that makes him a bit more money than he's made in the past doing tattoos and selling forged art work.
5) How old is your character?
19
Main set
Remember you must answer at least ten questions with substantial detail. However, the more questions you do, the less detail we ask of you. This excludes any compulsory questions. So eleven questions in total. All answers must be answered in-character, as if you are role-playing them being interviewed. Please note, you can answer the questions in internal thoughts if the character doesn't want to verbally answer it! We do ask that you don't hide any detail from us.
What was your first incident of magic and how old were you? (Compulsory)
"I know it happened after my tenth birthday. My parents set up this elaborate haunted house for my little sister and I. It got increasingly more scary the further we explored. She was screaming and laughing, but I was getting angry every time she dug her nails into my arm. There was one final jump near the end. A big snarling werewolf that comes out of nowhere. It scared us both but Leyti couldn’t even make a sound and that was it for me. I magically silenced and knocked the dummy back into place."
"No. Anyone who says they do is a liar. What those people feel, or think they feel isn't love. Maybe it’s just physical attraction? Either way it’s fleeting and it won’t last."
Have you ever been in love? If so, with who? If not, do you want to be in love?
"No. I’ve had the sense of attraction and the lustful feelings. I don’t want to be a slave to love. Blinded so much by affection for some stranger that I’ll let myself be walked over."
How do you want to be remembered by the people around you?
"I enjoy putting things together. I like when I buy something and it says 'assembly required'. It’s satisfying. I've got a bad habit of taking things apart for the purpose of reassembly. The opposite is true for debating or any sort of argument. I’d happily agree to something I don’t believe to get out of a disagreement."
Were you close with your family growing up? If not-why?
"Yes, definitely. We were possibly even too close. As a family unit we spent a lot to time together. Sometimes mom and dad were the only people we saw. We stepped on each others toes far too often. I know we all got annoyed with one another at least twice a day."
If you weren’t raised by your parents, who did? How did you find yourself in this position?
"I was raised by both my parents. Mom had a job outside the house, think she was a psychiatrist? Dad was something like a stay at home parent, but I know he left at night I could hear him leave. When I asked him about it he said he was working as a cook at 24 hour diner."
What would you say to your younger self and what would they think of you?
"Hey kiddo, you’ve had a simple life so far. Things are going to get really hard for you, it’s going to seem like giving up is the easiest route. Don’t give up, ever." He'd shrug. "That's it."
"With a family of my own I guess? I imagine I'd have my person, that someone who loves me so much they forgive all my faults. And maybe by that time I'd have a kid or one on the way?""
"From what I'm told I'd seemed to be conscientious or observant. My parents always said I was helpful since I was didn't ever put up too much of fight doing chores or things I saw that needed to be done."
Who/what was the biggest influence growing up? Why?
"My dad. I'm sure every kid says or thinks that about at least one of their parents. I've seen the good and the bad in him. I know he isn't perfect, he's never pretend to be. He's been a good example for me."
What was your childhood dream? Why so? And why did it change?
He scoff hold back a snort. "My childhood dream is stupid because I was a dumb kid back then. I wanted out of my house so bad because I felt trapped. I wanted to a bird so I could fly away. It changed because I grew up. I realized I don't need to have wings to be free."
If you’re not native to the UK, where were you born and how did you end up in the UK?
"Love. We had/have lots of money, it didn't make any of us happier. I think endless money succeeds in making people endlessly miserable. Money is only something you want when you haven't got it."
What are people’s usual first impressions of you? Are they correct?
"People think I'm strange, I've been called a weirdo more than once. I don't mind because it isn't far from the truth. I'm peculiar and it suits me well."
How much effort do you put into fashion and appearance? Do you have a personal ‘aesthetic’?
"I put a little effort in, I'm as low maintenance as possible. I take care of all my 2000 parts so I don't lose any of them. As for that last bit, I don't even know what personal aesthetic means."
He gets eerily silent thinking about the question. "My mom's death. Not the moment when she actually died, that's a blur. I'm talking about when we buried her, I'm right there in the moment all over again when I think of her funeral."
"My mom's death. Not the moment when she actually died, that's a blur." He shakes his head and gazes off in the distance, his brows furrowed in thought. "I'm talking about when we buried her, I'm right there in the moment all over again when I think of her funeral."
What is your guilty pleasure? Do you try and fight it?
"I went to Ilvermorny. My parents went to Hogwarts, and Beauxbatons, I think? Ilvermorny was fine for me, but I wonder how I would've done at one of those other schools."
"My dad worked at a 24hr diner, mom was a counselor or something? I don't know what she did but she always said something about working with people's heads. For all I know she was a brain surgeon."
"I make money however I can. I do whatever I need to do to make sure me and my sister are clothed and fed. As long as I'm able to keep a roof over our heads everything is copasetic."
Exotic questions
These do not count to your minimum and are an extension. You must answer at least two of your specific exotic. So you must have twelve questions in total!
Nymph
Were you aware of your nymph heritage? If not, how did you find out?
"Yea. People who are 'different' don't always do too well in society. It's not always their fault either, it's the people who can't accept change that set everyone back."
How did you manage to gain some control over your powers? Do you feel comfortable using them?
"Different traumas in life. I still don't feel like I have control but I'm better at it than I used to be. I still don't feel comfortable using my powers, I don't think I ever will."
Is there any other information you want to add? (History/Personality, dot points or trivia can be included here! Future plans, what you want for this character etc. This is not compulsory, though.)
He's excellent at forgery since starting in lesser known artwork, he's even gaining ground in forging ancient items.
I'm really into this idea of him using one of his more powerful Time nymph abilities as a crime scene investigator. I don't think that's a thing in the wizarding world though.
OOC Questions
1) Is this your first character?
A. This is my first character.
:B. No, this is not my first character.

The only thing I need is for you to put what age he was during his first incident of magic. The average is about 5-9 with some rare exceptions. Otherwise, he's perfect.

Kono Lewis has been registered as a citizen by the British Ministry of Magic!
"Upon the signature of the International Statute of Secrecy in 1689, wizards went into hiding for good. It was natural, perhaps, that they formed their own small communities within a community."
