The Character's Background

1) Give a description of your character's personality. It must be at least two paragraphs long, seven sentences each.

Leonard Kelly has a few defining characteristics of his personality, luckily for him and his family, nearly all of them are positive. For instance, he's incredibly loyal to his friends and family and it's quite apparent that he'd do anything for them. Especially his little sisters. Despite the fact he picked on them when they were younger, he loves them a great deal, and his rule seems to be the typical big brother rule of "Only I get to pick on my sisters!". That said, he's also very brave and not at all afraid to stand up for his sisters or what he believes in. Leo's also incredibly hard-working, and absolutely loathes the concept of quitting. Of course, Leo is also a human and does have some negative characteristics.

Leo's incredibly stubborn at the best of times, and is hard to sway on some of his more grounded beliefs. He's got a nasty temper, as evidenced by the time he went and pulverize the neighborhood kid for picking on his little sister. He can get set off pretty easily, and there's only a few people that can calm him down, which at this point in his life, is really only his family. School has never been Leo's strength, in the fact that he's dyslexic and not naturally smart. However, that said, he does do pretty well simply because of that incredible work ethic, which some may just call his stubbornness and refusal to quit. But they're kind of one and the same, right? You can't have a good work ethic, without being stubborn. If you ask Leo, that's what he'll tell you anyways.

2) Write about the history of your character. How did they grow up? Is there an incident that made them the way they are? It must be at least three paragraphs long, seven sentences each.

Leonard Kelly is the oldest child of two Hogwarts sweethearts, Maryanne and Patrick Kelly. They were in Hufflepuff and Gryffindor respectively, and only one year apart, Patrick being the older one. Soon as Maryanne graduated, they couple moved in together, Patrick was an Auror in Training, and Maryanne became an intern at St. Mungo's. On Mary's birthday which was in late July, Patrick proposed. Poor Mary had a rough day at work, but she's always said that the proposal made her day SO much better. They were married on Christmas, and one day in early September of the next year, Leonard was born. He was followed by three little sisters, all about three years apart.

Leonard, or Leo, grew up in the perfect, loving family. His first magical sign was pretty mundane, nothing super special. When he was about five, Mary asked him to clean his room, but he really didn't want to, so he somehow magically cleaned it. Try as he might, he was never able to recreate that. And he did try - every time he was asked to do a chore, for like at least two years. His parents thought it was adorable, and tease him about it to this day. Leo's sisters adored him, and at first, he thought they were really annoying, and so he picked on them a little. But, one day, the sister right behind him birth order wise, came home in tears because one of the local boys was picking on him. Leo became so enraged at the sight of his little sister that he stormed out, and beat the other boy up. His parents looked the other way, despite how angry the other boy's folks were. To this day, he never picks on his sisters, and is their steadfast protector.

Eventually, Leo's eleventh birthday rolled around, and his Hogwarts letter arrived. Because of his very early birthday, he was going to have wait almost an entire year to be able to attend Hogwarts. It's been torturous for poor Leo, and he's been annoying his parents about a million and one questions relating to Hogwarts since his letter arrived. But his parents, god bless them, are two of the most patient people in the world and have answered all of his questions, and encourage the questions. Their theory is that asking questions never hurt anyone, and they'd rather he ask some of them now, as some of the questions could land him in trouble while at school if he was to learn the answer after the fact. Leo was a pretty well behaved kid, but he did seem to have a slight rebellious streak as of late, which is the only cause for concern when it comes to sending the boy off to Hogwarts for Patrick and Mary. His sisters of course, are super jealous that he gets to attend Hogwarts, but he's promised that he'll write every week. His original promise was every day, but his parents told him don't make a promise you can't keep, once a week was more realistic.

3) Write about your character's appearance. What do they look like? Are you planning on using a certain model for your character? If you already have a picture in mind, you can put it here!

Leonard 1

4) Is your character a Pure-Blood, Half-Blood or Muggle-Born? Do you have any notable magical relations? (Remember, you cannot be related to important characters from the Harry Potter Universe!)

Half-Blood. (Mom was Muggle-Born, Dad was a Half-Blood).

5) Does your character have any special abilities? Is he or she of a different magical race, such as Veela, Vampire, Werewolf or the like? Part or half of a magical race counts! (Remember, you cannot have a character with special abilities/of a different magical race as one of your first two characters!)

No

6) What year is your character in?

First

7) The Sorting Hat has been known to take house preference into consideration. If your character could select one house they believe they are best suited for, what would it be and why?

Gryffindor. Because Leo wants to be like his dad, and his dad was Gryffindor.

OOC Questions

B. Whilst the first two questions will not affect the character's house (and are mandatory), the others are designed specifically to help users come up with their character's ideal job (and are optional).

1) Is this your first character?

:A. This is my first character.

B. No, this is not my first character.

2) If your answer to the previous question is B, how many characters do you have? How many of them are "exotic"? If you do have exotic characters, please list both the name and the type of exotic. Remember you are only allowed one of each type with the exception of nymphs.

3) What would people who know your character well say they're really good at?

4) What do they really want to avoid in their future job/career? Do they hate working in an office? Do they hate the field?

5) Aside from family and peers, what motivates your character the most in life? What drives their passion?

6) Where does your character's weaknesses lie?

7) Wand cores and woods speak volumes about a person's character. What is your character's wand? Why does it answer to them?
