The Character's Background

1) Give a description of your character's personality. It must be at least two paragraphs long, seven sentences each.

2) Write about the history of your character. How did they grow up? Is there an incident that made them the way they are? It must be at least three paragraphs long, seven sentences each.

John Lufkin was an esteemed writer and descendent of Artemisia Lufkin, the first ever female Minister for Magic in British history. With a hefty inheritence from his parents and a beautiful castle in Scotland to call him home, John had the ideal life as part of the Lufkin legacy. The only downside? John was born a squib and probably would have been barred out of his parent's will if it hadn't been for both their sudden deaths and lack of dependency when it came to legal will updates. John spent the bettermost part of his life alone, especially since he had been disowned by hid parents for his lack of magic. While he struggled in that particular area, he also excelled as a writer. It was in his thirties that he stumbled upon a child psychologist by the name of Sylvia Arliss and fell absolutely head over heels in love with her wit and intelligence. Their relationship progressed so quick that they chose to elope in Hawaii within that same year. It was after their law binding marriage that their first and only son was concieved. Not even shy a week of being in Hawaii, John made the suggestion that they stay a while longer and enjoy the sunshine, fresh fruit market and beaches - but really, they ended up staying for most of Sylvia's pregnancy.

In fact, Sylvia gave birth on the way home from Hawaii to Scotland so John was forced to make a detour to St. Mungo's in Britain. Magnus Arliss-Lufkin was for all intensive purposes, a chubby bundle of joy but an absolute hell-raiser from the beginning. When he was five years old, Magnus ripped up an eighteen hundred page manifesto of John Lufkin's life. When he was seven, he nearly burned down the castle with everyone in it. By the age of eight, he showed his first signs of magical in a rather powerful blast that shattered the windows of their home - and honestly, that was probably the one singular powerful moment in his life. His parents were shocked, especially with Sylvia being a muggle herself and struggling to understand the concept of magic since John had very little (if any at all). Everything in the Arliss-Lufkin was peachy up until the point where John fell ill with the same sickness that took his father.

3) Write about your character's appearance. What do they look like? Are you planning on using a certain model for your character? If you already have a picture in mind, you can put it here!

4) Is your character a Pure-Blood, Half-Blood or Muggle-Born? Do you have any notable magical relations? (Remember, you cannot be related to important characters from the Harry Potter Universe!)

Muggle Born but related to Artemisia Lufkin, who was the first ever female Minister for Magic.

5) Does your character have any special magical abilities? Or special abilities in general (photographic memory, etc.)? Is he or she of a different magical race, such as Veela, Vampire, Werewolf or the like? Part or half of that magical race counts! (Remember, you cannot have a character with special abilities/of a different magical race as one of your first two characters!)

No

6) What is your character's profession? Does your character plan to enroll your character into the Ministry of Magic? Does your character not work? Is your character a teacher?
