Due to the low interest in Quidditch at Hogwarts, I'm considering not having it at Hogwarts this school year. If you have any input either way, please put it below and be sure to sign it. Thanks! Bond_em7 (Owl Me) 13:13, September 30, 2013 (UTC)

I would like to keep Quidditch at Hogwarts. It's been a lot of fun for me and I would be sad to see it go away. I know a lot of other people really like it as well. I think people are still interested, but they forget that they need to post and then it stalls for awhile. Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure. -Alyssa5582

O A lot of people like quidditch...me included...maybe it's just that a lot of the players' users have been busy...Besides, it's fun to be able to hit other chars and not get in trouble for it :D. loyalty is everything (talk) 14:05, September 30, 2013 (UTC)
I'm not a Quidditch player, myself, but, I think you should keep Quidditch for the simple reason that there's been more people against you getting rid of it than going along with it. Ruddy JoreyPumpkinHead isn't he? 14:20, September 30, 2013 (UTC)

The frequent and widespread failure to post makes me agree with Bond that a year off, not permanent cancellation, is a good idea. If people are truly enthusiastic, they'll use this year to run Qudditch practises for the House team, maybe even find an Admin to GM a dummy game, and be ready to go with great gusto next year. I would like to keep Quidditch in. Maybe before accepting charries in a team make sure the the user is active first? 1478197217839 Evil isn't born. It's made. 1478197928048 ♫Madeyefire♫ (talk) 23:45, September 30, 2013 (UTC)

As much as I love Quidditch (and trust me I do -- almost all of my characters have played at some point), I'm going to have to agree. People just don't seem interested and maybe a break is just what we need to get more people involved again. --Peislandgal 150px-Huff OWL ME! 00:22, October 1, 2013 (UTC)

@Mads the problem with that is (and this happened to me last year) I'll find a coupl of players and it'll all be great but then halfway through the year they dissapear (see Bryan, TheLittleRabbit) - it's hard to determine who will be active for the whole duration of the term.

@Everyone; would there have to be an IC reason for cancellation of Quidditch? I would have suggested we substitute it for another event to spark up school activity but that's not ideal given the Expansion going on.

There wouldn't HAVE to be an IC reason...but I have thought of a few. For example, when the Triwizard Tournament happened, quidditch was cancelled for the year. ...and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think there was also no Quidditch in Harry's '7th' Year while Snape was Headmaster due to world events (Voldemort). I have no problem coming up with something...and possibly even something to replace it this year (though I'll need help obviously). Just answering the question posed above. I would really like to keep Quidditch at Hogwarts, despite everyone not taking part, despite being on the team. I remember the case at the start of the year though, that only 1 member of a team (Ravenclaw vs. Hufflepuff) I think showed up, so the match was cancelled. It should be remomved if nobody posts in it.  Just an idea: Maybe send a Talk Message to all users that have Quidditch players, that a match is on, since not everyone always looks at the notice. That's my opinion, please respect it. :)   Yugimuto1    Owl Me!   [[Special:Editcount/ Yugimuto1|Special:Editcount/ Yugimuto1 edits ]]  19:55,10/1/2013

I agree with Yugi, and I think that Quidditch should be kept, I'll probably be outvoted, but that's my incredibly short opinion. -asteriea19:58, October 1, 2013 (UTC)

Just to build on what Yugi said -- Players are usually owled when the match begins if they have yet to show up in the locker room. --Peislandgal 150px-Huff OWL ME! 03:15, October 2, 2013 (UTC)

I would be fine with having Quidditch cancelled for the term if we have an IC event to take its place, such as a revamp of the Triwizard Tournament, or maybe the play that was discussed. I love Quidditch, and I think that sometimes users are too busy to post, but I'd still like to keep it as much as possible. LittleRedCrazyHood 00:46, October 5, 2013 (UTC)
