1) Write about your character's appearance. What do they look like? Please include both the model's name and a picture.
Rayy's FC is Emile Woon. Rayy has dark, messy hair, that always looks like they've rolled right out of bed. They always look so tired, which is largely attributed to their insane sleep schedule or lack thereof. They have eyebags for days and doesn't really care much for looking presentable or the way they dress. Rayy is quite tall, too, and a bit lanky.
2) Is your character a Pure-Blood, Half-Blood or Muggle-Born? Do you have any notable magical relations? This does include a roleplayed family. (Remember, you cannot be related to important characters from the Harry Potter Universe!) Rayy was the result of a one-night-stand; they're not entirely sure of their blood status as a result. Regardless, they were raised by a muggle couple, and identifies as muggle-born.
3) Is your character considered Peculiars? If so, what category do they fall under? Part or half of that magical race counts! Remember, you must do at least two questions related to your peculiar in the interview! Remember your first two characters cannot be a peculiar! No, Rayy is not considered a peculiar.
4) What year is your character in? Sixth.
- What was your first incident of magic and how old were you? (Compulsory)

Despite the interview having been scheduled at 7:00AM, Rayy made the unfortunate decision of sleeping at 4:00. IT's obvious from the way they have to stifle a yawn every once in a while, and they're in the middle of yawning when the interviewer finishes asking the question. "My first incident of magic was..." It takes them a while to remember the specific event. "Oh yeah, I was seven. I remember now." They chuckle a bit just thinking of it. "My parents didn't want to get me a dog, so I accidentally brought my Tamagotchi to life." Rayy shakes their head fondly. "They vanished after three hours. Right into thin air! I bawled my eyes out."

"Look, I'm gonna be real with you." Rayy says, adjusting their posture in their chair. "Everyone who's ever said they fell in love at first sight probably just wanted to smash. There's no such thing. Sure, whatever, I'm not gonna fault people for being horny. Just – don't pretend it's love, dude. I've seen people and thought 'Oh, you're hot' but I've never wanted to get down on one knee and offer my whole life to them."

"Very quick." they respond immediately, "I don't know. Maybe I'm just always thinking practically, but it seems to me with most choices there's an obvious option worth picking." Rayy shrugs. "There's always a correct answer, you feel? It's very likely that there's a more selfish option which is why everyone's like, 'Oh God, I can't pick'. Dude, no. Look at things objectively. There's a right answer somewhere there. And if both choices are stupid, there's probably a secret, third option that you need to figure out."

"I really like drawing." Rayy admits, a bit shyly. "And video games, too. Whenever I'm stressed, I tend to do one or the other. I try not to play video games too much nowadays, though. Aside from the fact that the connection at Hogwarts is absolute shit so I can barely co-op with my muggle friends – " Rayy shoots the interviewer a pointed look. " – I tend to fall down a rabbit hole when it comes to playing stuff. Especially League. I swear, League is cancer and I have no idea why I still play it other than the fact I hate myself." Rayy laughs. "But yeah, that's what I do to unwind."

"Let me get this straight, there are people who actually answer money? This is such a – this question is framed so poorly. Like fuck, why do you even ask this? Are we trying to sus out the next Voldemort or something?" They shake their head, rather amused. "Okay, dude, so I know the correct answer is love but I think I'll go with money. I'm not trying to be edgy or different, seriously, it's just – " Rayy goes quiet for a bit, thinking of their family and all the opportunities money can buy for them. "I'm quite happy with the love I have. And I think I could do loads more for my loved ones if I had a bit more cash."

"This is just a shot in the dark but I think people think I'm a bit of an asshole." Rayy snorts. They take a quick moment to think about all the times Rayy tells their friends they can't hang out. All the Hogsmeade weekends they've flaked on to work at the Post Office. All the shit they're missing back home with their muggle friends because they've gone off to some 'fancy private boarding school'. If anyone were to judge them based on that, Rayy would feel pretty bummed but they suppose their general personality is enough of a turn-off as it is, too. They're too argumentative, too tired all the time, too busy... "They're right, yeah. I mean, I am. A bit of an ass, that."

"To be able to do anything without having to worry about the impact it would have on others." Rayy answers simply. They've spent their whole life worrying about how their actions might domino into something unfortunate – to be able to feel free to do whatever they want regardless of ability, cost, or circumstance would feel pretty fucking good, they think.

"To gatekeep an opportunity they're deserving of because of the circumstance they're in." Rayy answers, "It happens too much, I think. It's so easy to attribute to talent what can easily be attributed to privilege. Level the playing field, I think, and you'll see who the real winners are."

"Oh, hell yeah. I love my family." they say, their face almost immediately lighting up. All of Rayy's reactions are a bit delayed, generally. It's probably the sleep deprivation. "My mom and my stepdad are the absolute best, and I love my two little siblings to pieces. They mean the world to me. Honestly, if I had a choice, I wouldn't even be at Hogwarts." Rayy admits this last part a bit sadly. "I'd much rather be at home so I could help out around the house. I miss it."

"I went to a muggle public school growing up before getting into Hogwarts. A lot of my good friends are from there, so I try to keep in touch. I just tell them I got a scholarship to some fancy boarding school in the middle of nowhere, which, not exactly false is it?" Rayy grins. "I get high grades and all but it's not like I enjoy school. I'm not a nerd, God, I'm just – I just do it so I can maintain a scholarship. And also because it makes my parents really happy when I come home and show them my marks, and I really like making them proud."

"My family is... not very well-off." they say, looking a bit regretful, but not embarrassed. "It's why I'm on a scholarship, yeah? Because there's no way we'd be able to afford it, I think. I mean, we could, but then... that's just so much money. I'd hate to think of it being spent all on me." Rayy shakes their head. "It was a lot worse when I was younger, I think. Neither of my parents had a stable job and I wasn't old enough to help out around the house." Rayy frowns. "And now that I am older, I'm away for more than half the year." They laugh, but it sounds a bit bitter. "It's whatever. I'll be able to help more once I get a job."
