The Character's Background

1) Give a description of your character's personality. It must be at least two paragraphs long, seven sentences each.

The most noticeable thing about Reagan is the air of confidence he has about him; he holds himself extremely well and always seems extremely sure in whatever it is that he's doing. To find him worrying about something is unheard of, at least publicly that is. Whilst some would pin this down to his role as part of the Trelawney family, Reagan pinpoints it more to be the fact that he's confident in his magical abilities; having excelled at Transfiguration and Charms has made him somewhat fearless, adding a bashful element into his personality. Besides having a confident air about him and forever seeming sure in his actions, Reagan also possesses a stubbornness that's paired with an ambition which makes any goal seem attainable to him - no matter how unattainable it actually is. This, in some respects, makes him a very 'marmite' person; these traits together ensure that people either like him and admire him, or they find him pretentious and a snob. Despite this, he likes to think he's doing it in a professional manner which, to an extent, he is. Though he often lets a competitiveness overcome him as he finds he has to be the best in the two areas he knows he's good in; Seeing and fitness.

Disregarding all professional nuances to Reagan's personality, he appears to be nothing more than an adult man making the most of his life and enjoying it. A natural flirt, it isn't unusual for people to refer to him as smooth nor is it unheard of that he flirts with anyone in sight. He thinks part of him is desperate to have a companion as he grows a little older, though he enjoys partying a bit too much for that at the moment. His mind seems to be in the mode of "if something happens then great, if not, that's great too." His sarcastic humour has an edge to it and often it can result in people taking an offence to his words when he didn't mean it, not that he cares too much. In his opinion, if they can't see the joke element of it then they're a bit too insecure to be putting themselves in such situations where jokingly critical observations can be made. He has a carefree part to his personality, a definite clash to the stubborn and ambitious business side of him, and he enjoys taking things at his own pace just as much as he likes advancing through the ranks quickly - a reason he loves how both of his jobs are freelance-esque. Thanks to his carefree personality, Reagan often brushes off things that upset or anger him, not wanting to let them get the better of him. He thinks that if he can be so flippant towards offending others when trying to make a joke with an edge, he himself shouldn't get offended and that's what his reaction to negative emotions is based around. He might, at most, get annoyed or upset for an hour or so before going back to normal, his temper being reminiscent of a bottle of pop - exploding and simmering quickly. Anything that does truly get to him he bottles away, mostly because he doesn't have someone he can unload it onto.

2) Write about the history of your character. How did they grow up? Is there an incident that made them the way they are? It must be at least three paragraphs long, seven sentences each.

Reagan Rory Cassius Trelawney was born a member of the famous Seer Trelawney family and, ironically enough, his father Eldan Trelawney possessed no Seer skill whatsoever. Any and all predictions he made about the future were guesses and, should they come true, were some of the greatest coincidences of all time. Some in the family failed to see what his wife, muggle Jennifer Trenton, saw in him. For all intents and purposes, Jennifer was nothing short of a socially 'perfect' wife. Though a woman who wasn't afraid to stand up for herself, she also was equally as passionate for her family and many members of the Trelawney family thought she'd be a better fit for someone else, not Eldan. Regardless, the marriage was a happy one and fruitful to continue the Trelawney name; Jennifer birthed three healthy sons, each who showed considerable promise in magic from a young age.

Reagan was the middle child, four years younger than his elder brother Tristan and three years older than his younger brother Cadan. He rather enjoyed his birth order; he was young enough to not have the brunt of all the responsibilities but old enough to have some leverage over his younger brother. From a young age, it was Reagan who was the clear front runner of the brothers in terms of magical prowess. Whilst Tristan and Cadan had their magical experiences at eight and nine respectively, Reagan experienced his first bout with his wizard abilities at the age of five. Perhaps coming alongside the apparent prowess with magic, Reagan's magical experience was definitely more... destructive than his brothers. The experience itself occurred during the one downfall to being the middle sibling; Reagan was often the subject to Tristan's patronising way and Cadan's mischief. With the two combined, it often let to a very frustrated and angered Reagan and it was during a particularly nasty day on his brothers' parts that Reagan caused a candle lit lamp in the family's stables to combust, destroying a large chunk of the stables and killing the prized family horse. Though greatly annoyed, his parents were able to oversee the damage caused to the stable and Reagan was punished relatively lightly, however it was comments he made afterwards that unsettled them. Reagan made reference to how kind his parents were in regards to his mistake and how he responded positively to it, which was innocent enough, however he elaborated and said his paternal grandmother would be a lot harsher to someone else's mistake and her behaviour would result in her death. Shaken up, his parents tried to think nothing of it and instead pin it down to something he watched on a muggle television show but, just like he predicted, his grandmother got into an argument with someone over a small mistake they made and, sure enough, the confrontation would end in her death after sustaining masses amounts of injuries.

Perhaps illogically, both Eldan and Jennifer had assumed that because Eldan possessed no Seer abilities that their sons would follow suit and following the death of Eldan's mother, the most powerful Seer in their branch of the family at that current time, the couple turned to Eldan's sister Kara for guidance. Though definitely not the most powerful Seer, Kara was able to tell Eldan and Jennifer that Reagan would blurt out prophecies and statements from time to time and, should they think it something of note, they should write them down and store them. Whilst some things that Reagan said were small and insignificant (like successfully predicting that Tristan would do badly in his First Year exams), others were a lot more noteworthy and were the signs of the making of a powerful Seer (predictions about how the lives of family members, friends or strangers would go; verified by the Daily Prophet and muggle newspapers). Following that, Reagan was put under the watchful eye of his parents until his acceptance letter to Hogwarts arrived.

As expected, Reagan received his Hogwarts letter at eleven years-old and was sorted promptly into ____. Though he was a hatstall for a couple of the houses, ultimately _____ was the right house to place him in and he flourished. In the more physical magical subjects like Charms and Transfiguration, Reagan excelled whilst in the more theoretical ones like Potions and History of Magic, he struggled a little - mostly because he felt grounded and without the possibility of creativity. During his time at Hogwarts he was a member of the Duelling Club, a club he found that he could show off an array of spells in different, effective combinations that were thoroughly thought out in his head. Another subject he excelled at, and the one he loved the most, was Divination. Though that was mostly due to him finding it easy thanks to his Seer abilities, Reagan was the undisputed top of the class and Divination held some of his best grades when it came to graduate from Hogwarts.

Upon graduation, Reagan threw himself into his personal fitness and bulked up immediately. He had decided that, for a while, he wanted to leave the magical life and instead chose to become a personal trainer at a muggle gym. The muggle lifestyle was simple and he genuinely enjoyed it, but the urge to use his Seer powers for the Ministry and as a Naming Seer became too much and by the time he was twenty-four he had returned to the wizarding world as the latter. Now, some years on, he works as both; juggling being a private personal trainer and a naming seer.
