The Character's Background

1) Give a description of your character's personality. It must be at least two paragraphs long, seven sentences each. Roman is a firecracker of a personality in a good way, he's very extroverted and loves being social and hanging around people. He gets energy from being in crowded places and going to venues that are loud and crazy, thriving off of the energy. He also loves to be outdoors as it re-energizes him and helps him to clear his head and get rid of negative emotions.

Despite being turned into a werewolf at a young age, Roman has learned to live with his newfound abilities and apply them in a positive way in his life. He uses his abilities when he can to help others, having learned to harness his abilities and see/hear things to judge if someone needs aid or help. He's tried to use his abilities for good, and hope to show people that werewolves aren't all bad.

Roman really loves natural and organic things and is a bit of a modern hippie, making many of his own eco-friendly products and trying to be conscious about what he uses so he doesn't waste anything. He's renovated his home to be green and eco-friendly and many of the food he eats he grows himself. He also uses essential oils and natural herbs for his medicine, not really believing in modern medicine besides vaccines.

All in all, Roman is an interesting character but he has a big heart and loves to help and be around people. He's also looking for a special someone and wants to settle down soon, but he's a little reserved on that part because he is a werewolf and doesn't want to put anyone in danger. He's afraid when he does meet someone special that they'll be scared of him, so he's mostly kept to himself which has been taking a toll on his mental health.

Roman has learned to keep his emotions in check through his various travels and helping others, and because of this he has learned to be calm in sticky situations. While he does have his emotions in control, sometimes he does have outbursts because his animal nature tends to kick in when his anger gets to a dangerous level, but it takes a lot to get him truly that angry and upset.

2) Write about the history of your character. How did they grow up? Is there an incident that made them the way they are? It must be at least three paragraphs long, seven sentences each. Frances Parthenope was the oldest child of William Nightengale and Frances Smith, and older sister to the woman who would become "The Lady with the Lamp", Florence Nightengale. In 1858, Parthenope married William Verney. In doing so, she gave up her Nightengale name, but Parthenope always lived close to her sister. Florence never had a family, viewing her career in nursing akin to a nun's calling from God. Parthenope and William had children, and their line continued, eventually mixing magical and Muggle blood throughout the years.

Over a century later, James Verney and Heather Mills met. James was a Half-Blood, Hogwarts attendee. Heather was the Muggle girl next door. Their relationship was turbulent, given that they only saw each other on Christmas and summer holidays, and letters took an extended amount of time to be sent, via James' parents. But their young love defied all the odds, and the couple was married. It took quite a bit of getting used to for Heather to come around to the idea that she'd likely have magical children, but that's probably to be expected.

James and Heather had four children-- three boys, and a girl. Robert came first. Two years later, Raymond. Three years after Raymond, Rowena was born, and two years after Rowena little Roman was born. He was a bit of a surprise baby but was welcomed into the family with open arms regardless of his unexpected arrival.

Roman was a character as a child, bouncing off the walls and very active. He loved attention and loved to be in the spotlight, always playing outside with his favorite cousin and climbing trees or finding animals and what not. He loved the outdoors and loved the freedom it brought him, and despite the rest of his siblings staying indoors his life was spent outside.

He had his first magical encounter at 8 when he was grounded from going outside for breaking something in the house. While sitting in his room it was like his room transformed into the outside, his own little sanctuary and he was so surprised that he had to go tell his parents. It lasted long enough for them to see and believe him, and he was ecstatic to be able to be a wizard like the rest of his siblings.

One day during a family reunion when Roman was 10, Roman and his cousin were playing in the woods not far from the campsite that his family and extended family were at. Although they found a bunny that they were trying to chase, and without realizing it they had strayed far from the campsite. Night had fallen and they were lost, wandering through the woods without realizing that they were being stalked by a werewolf.

In a flash Roman and his cousin were attacked, Roman being bitten and tossed away while his cousin was dragged off by the werewolf. Roman was half-conscious when he was found by his family that had started searching for the boys, immediately tending to him thanks to his dad being a healer. But, Roman's cousin was never found even in the morning when light allowed them to search further.

Roman was closely watched by his parents, mostly his father who helped him through the full moons and helped him learn how to control his abilities. When Roman went off to Hogwarts he had the help of the headmaster, which greatly aided him and his academic success. By the time Roman was a fourth year he had a solid grasp on his werewolf abilities and during a full moon, allowing him to live a more normal life without the constant watch of his parents.

When he graduated he applied for a job in the ministry, but was denied, so he left England to travel around Europe and help others who have been turned to learn about their abilities and be their teacher. He was gone for about three years before returning to England to catch up with his family and try and apply for another job in the ministry, but in the meantime, he's working full-time at Honeydukes waiting to get a ministry job.
