Serena is sneaky, careful, cunning and manipulative. She's a bit ruthless but she manages to put out a nice, friendly and innocent act most of the time that no one has ever related her to her parents. She has serious trust issues, trusting no one but herself and her brother, Kristopher, especially after learning the truth of her parents' tragedy. She has been holding grudges against the Ministry for a long time and is hoping to take vengeance when she granduates from Hogwarts.

Serena grew up in a wealthy family, born to her pure-blood parents as their second child. She had her caring parents, her brother Kristopher whom she looked up to and her friends that she grows up with. She had a pleasant and comfortable childhood - typical life that rich kids have.
However, when she was eight, her parents were accused of being dark wizards, killing muggles, muggle-borns and such. Though her family had been blood-supremacists, Serena knew enough murdering people wasn't something that her parents would do. During the summer - the day right before her birthday, when she came back to the house with her brother, witnessed her father being arrested and taken into custody by a couple of wizards (she later learnt they were aurors from the Ministry) while yelling and screaming about their mother's death. When he's gone, all left in the house were broken furnitures, panicked servants and her mother's corpse, lifelessly lying on the floor. Her maternal grandparents arrived soon after and got her as well as her brother to live in their house. Selena was in shock and desperation that she hadn't spoken for a week or more. As much as she didn't believe that her parents had actually commited those evil acts, she was still later convinced by her grandparents that they were indeed dark wizards.
When she was ten years old, she went to Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin like her brother did. The rumours about her family were already over by the time she got to Hogwarts. It worked out okay for her. She stayed away from the radar, managed to pull out a kind, friendly and innocent act that no one had ever questioned about her family.
In the summer of her Year 2, she learnt the truth about their parents - it turned out that their grandfather was the one who told the Ministry that their father was a dark wizard - from her brother. Serena was furious and felt betrayed. She hadn't yet done anything about it but her grandfather died mysteriously the day after. And two years later, her grandmother died as well.

A) I have a lot of other responsibilities, and although I really want to be a part of this wiki, there may be days on end I won't be able to participate in anything.
