Freya was born on a rather cold August night in Oslo, Norway to a muggle woman and a wizard. She was the youngest of the three Solberg children, born into a rather well off Norwegian family. Freya's mother worked for the Muggle Norwegian government, while her father was a high ranking member of the Norwegian Ministry of Magic. The night she was born, Freya's parents instantly knew that she had gained the magical gene. Freya's hair changed between red, black, and blue within a few minutes, her eyes going from a light blue to a deep red and back. THe Solbergs had brought a Metamorphmagus into the world.
The first few years of Freya's life were spectacular. Almost perfect. She had parents that truly cared for her and gave her anything she needed in life. Her relationship with her siblings was better than most. They spent all of their time together and would do anything to protect one another. Unfortunately, everything was about to turn south for the Solbergs.
Around Freya's ninth birthday, there was an accident. The Solberg parents left Freya at home to take Finn and Elise to a piano lesson, but, unfortunately, never made it. Another car crashed into the side of the Solbergs at an intersection, instantly killing the entire family. Freya, sat at home, waiting for her parent's return, but it never came. She was alone for days before someone finally came for her. Never again would she see her parents. Never again would she get to play with her brother and sister. Forever, she would be alone.
The months following the tragedy were pure chaos for Freya. She had no living family to stay with, so she was tossed around between different families. Some coworkers of her parents for awhile, then off to some strangers for another few weeks. Freya could never get settled, always being shipped off to the next. Nothing felt comfortable, and nothing felt safe. She had no family and she had no home. She had nothing. Absolutely nothing, until the Vynter's came around.
The Vynters had been close family friends of the Solbergs, and Freya had spent quite a lot of time with them when she was younger. After failing to find another home for Freya to go to, the Vynters stepped up and said they would take her in. When she arrived, Freya felt like this would be different. It already felt familiar, and the family made her feel welcome. Unlike all the other homes she had been in, she felt like the Vynters really wanted her there. She felt safe and loved for the first time since the death of her family. It was even better that they had a child close to her age, Søren. The two started getting along pretty well, and it was like Freya had a sibling again. The two became inseparable, and Freya took it upon herself to be his protector. She couldn't lose another sibling.
When the two turned 11, the Vynters sent Søren and Freya off to Hogwarts, feeling that they would be better off receiving their education outside of Norway. Søren was sorted into Ravenclaw, while Freya was sorted into Slytherin. It broke her heart to be separated from Søren, but she knew that she'd at least be able to see him from time to time. The next few years flew by, and Freya mostly tried to keep to herself, which tended to be difficult. Everyone was attracted by her ever-changing hair, never giving her a moment to be alone. More than anything, she just wanted to disappear and started changing her features as she walked around school so that no one would notice her. She kept her relationship with Soren going, trying to ignore everyone else. Eventually, they made it to the end of their seventh year and got to leave the god forsaken school.
After graduating, she moved back to Norway, working as an investigator for the Ministry. The way she could change her appearance made it easier for her to try and infiltrate places to get information. While working one of the cases, she ended up stumbling upon information about her family's deaths. Apparently, the crash hadn't been an accident, but rather an assassination to stop Freya's father from pushing through a bill bringing equality to all magical beings. The rest of her family was just collateral damage. She spent the next few years, trying to track down who had organized the attack on her family, leaving her an orphan. She disguised herself, infiltrating several different organizations, as she sought her vengeance. Eventually, she was able to gain enough information and found the group that planned the assassination. She disguised herself as one of their members, working her way to the leader. After months, she confronted him, revealing herself as the daughter of Göran Solberg, and slit his throat.
After she got her revenge, she felt to further pursue a career with similar goals. She couldn't go back to her old job. She had tainted herself, and now, was out for blood. After running into Soren once more, he urged her to seek out Sabrina and join the Black Parade.
