Julius Tyrrell- -Former Minister for Magic -Advisor to the Minister
- "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail."
*He grinned.* "Perfect. I'm sure everyone will be looking at the pretty girl instead of the bloke doing stupid things anyways, so either way, we'll be good."

She rolled her eyes. "I'm sure you won't be that bad," she said.

*He frowned.* "Not good? I'm sorry..Anything I can do to help?"

She shifted. Lily would've already had an excuse... but maybe she and Ferlen were right. Besides, look at all the secrets Lily had kept, and where it had gotten her... She tried to meet Julius' eyes, but looked back down, taking a shaky breath. She would tell him. But how?

*He looked at her, and could tell something was wrong. He gently took her hand.* "Is everything ok?"

She fidgeted, wishing the secret could just be told some way other than by her... "Julius... I..." Any way that she said it was going to sound terrible. This was ridiculous. She took a deep breath and looked him in the eye. "I haven't been entirely honest with you... about what I do. I'm not a paper pusher."

*He gave her an extremely confused look, not exactly sure what to say.* "Wait..what?"

"It's been sort of a... cover story for me." She took another deep breath, since he seemed to be doing well so far. "I'm an Auror. Well, a Support Auror, anyway." Maybe that would soften the blow?

He looked to the ground and ran his hand through his hair before looking back at her.* "Why..why didn't you just tell me that from the start?"

"I never wanted to get anyone close to me involved in my work?" she said a bit hesitantly. "Nearly all of it has to be kept secret anyway, so it seemed only one step further..." she paused. "And, because my first mentor kept it a secret. So it seemed like the thing to do." She shifted slightly. She was waiting for him to tell her he didn't want to see her anymore.

*He looked away from a moment to think about it. It really wasn't that big of a deal..Still, honesty would have been nice. He sighed.* "I..I guess that makes sense.. I just wish you would've told me sooner.."

She nodded sort of numbly. "I've recently seen the effects of keeping too many secrets from people," she said. She paused, realizing she was making excuses. "I'm sorry... I'll show myself out..."

*He grabbed her hand a pulled her in for a kiss before she could leave.*

She was a bit startled. This wasn't the reaction she'd been expecting. She placed a hand on his shoulder as she kissed him back, perhaps a bit nervously.

"You didn't tell the truth, so what? It's not like it was something huge. I like you. A lot. And I don't want to let something this small ruin that."

She looked up at him, her face reading something akin to awe and touched. She had sort of expected him to throw her out, or tell her he never wanted to see her again... not admit how much he liked her. She tried to process quickly what she wanted to say, but that wasn't working. But his sentiment had done wonders to help her figure out her own feelings. "I like you a lot too."

*He smiled.* "That's good. I never really get the chance to get to know the people I work with. They're always changing. Even my boss has changed several times since I got the job. Some consistency would be nice."

She nodded. "I suppose that makes me lucky. I've only had one change, and it's been recent. New Auror Head and new Department Head, but that was because of the election."
