Since Technology was created.... Games beat it by a couple thousand years. Then, in the 1980's someone had the brilliant idea to combine the two! Though video gaming had existed for years, Hogwarts never followed the trend until someone found a way to make sure the magical energy doesn't ripply the electrical energy. So we decided to take advantage of that. We may not have wizarding gaming consoles, or electrical outlets yet... But we have handheld devices and the desire to play together! Welcome to the gaming club!

As Mila waited in the meeting room, she tapped her finger on the table as her gameboy beeped a little every now and then -- She had been playing Zelda as she waited.

Leyla had come early to help with setting up. Not actual labor, of course, but moral support, y'know? "How many people are showing up to this shindig again?" She asked, yawning as she beat up on an Onyx on her DS. She had talked her dad into getting her one over the summer, and finally understood Mila's addiction to the handheld devices.

EQ was here more in support of his cousin than anything. He didn't mind playing a few games here and there, but he honestly kind of sucked at the whole gaming thing. His talent remained on the Quidditch Field. "Yeah, are we expecting a good turnout?" He questioned from his criss cross applesauce position on the floor.
He had signed up for the club because he rather be doing this then be bored when he had free time. Plus, he was quite good at gaming after playing some with LJ occasionally. He walked in, noticing two definite Schmidts from his year and one he could only suppose was another.

"Six people signed up... Not including you two and Astrid, nor myself. Ten in total." She grins at them. When Hunter shows up, she waves him over. "Hi Hunter! Darius? Hunter? What do I call you?"

Every club needed a teacher to be there to overlook them right? Well here was Oliver, entering the room. "Hello hello," He said as he stepped in, feeling a little out of place since he joined to make sure nothing bad would happen but also because he did like video games. He grew up in a muggle household, how could he not like video games? "Sorry for being late," He apologized.

"Six, including a teacher... Can we call you Oliver here?" She questions. "I mean you are technically a member..."
"Hunter," he simply states. He didn't usually let people he didn't know very well just call him Hunter, but he'd probably die if he had to hear Darius over again.

"Oh sure sure, I don't mind if you all call me Oliver," He said with a small smile. "Sorry if I make things awkward, I don't mean too. I'm mostly here as your guys' supervisor, but I'll also play games every now and then," He explained.

He’s signed up to this for no other reason than to discover all the games that Sabrina has kept him from; the brief introduction that Duke has given him more than whetted his appetite, enough so that he went and wrote his name down on the sign-up sheet. Like always, he sits in the back, wondering when they can all stop nattering and he can get his hands on a console.

Leyla wore a Cheshire grin as she saw Hunter come in. She'd taken a liking to talking to him, whether it was out of genuine curiosity or the need to annoy him. Either way, it was going to be fun beating him in games. Oliver's arrival had been unexpected, but Leyla thought it was pretty cool that he came to play too. Again, another fun one to beat. "Well, let's get this party started, shall we? The others can just file in later, right?" She suggested with a shrug.

EQ thought it was odd that Professor Lancaster came, but he wasn't opposed to the idea of adult supervision. There were worse things. When EQ saw Morgan, he flashed him a small smile. Honestly, he was relieved Morgan showed up. He was the youngest one there, but now he at least had company. "I agree with Leyla. Might as well get some games going."
Donatello rolled in on his skateboard, throwing the small group a cheesy grin as he kicked his board up into his hand. "Sorry I'm late. Traffic was awful." He joked in true Donnie fashion. He'd actually gotten pretty hyped up for this club. He always played games with Dante, so he figured this could be just as fun. "What'd I miss?"

Mila grins. "The others can just file in," Mila nods in agreement with Leyls as she stands up. "Hi, everyone! For those who don't know who I am, I am not surprised. I usually only hang out with Astrid and Leyla." Mila chuckles. "If nobody has a video game thing, I brought a couple from home," She pauses to look at Leyla, "And yes, you could have had any of them, at any point. Arthur buys me a new one at least once every two years...." Mila chuckles, and then looks over at the others. "You can come up and take your pick if you need one. This club doesn't really have any more requirements rather than 'just show up every once in a while'. You all can have your chances to introduce yourselves now.... And thank you for coming!" As she had mentioned, on the table were several different color gamepads, including gameboys and nintendo switches, and about..... a hundred games. What can Mila say? She's a collector.

He shuffled in after she finished talking, his eyes landing straight onto the table filled with games and his jaw dropped. He didn't expect to be so many games, maybe just a small amount. Rather impressed, he moved to the back of the crowd, fiddling with a small DS that he had brought along with him.

Oh boy. Oliver was used to older games, and it was only recently that he had gotten into more modern gaming. Thankfully he knew his way around a nintendo switch, so he went straight for that one and swiped Mario Kart off the table as well. Ever since he was little he loved Mario Kart, and hoped someone would play with him.

Astrid strolls into the room, not bothering to toss anyone other than her cousins a proper look and half-smile. Having caught most of her cousin's instructions and introduction, she makes one stop. "Hey, is that my Nintendo Switch?" Astrid's brow furrows, looking up at her with an annoyed expression. "Mila?"
