「 Prof. Malia Sakellarios 」Head of Ravenclaw & Charms Professor
Ah, yes. The class period Malia was looking forward to the least. She expects chaos to ensue, and to be frank, she isn't happy to be putting up with it as her first period on Wednesday mornings. Nonetheless, she's contractually obligated to show up and teach, so she arrives a few seconds after the morning clock chime and waves a hand, the chalk signing Professor M. Sakellarios on the board. She has a nice cup of black coffee in her hold, and as she ventures down the classroom, she takes a long sip. It burns her tongue, but she barely registers the sensation as she places the cup on her desk. "Good morning, students. I'm Professor Sakellarios —" she glares at Zoë, preemptively cutting the mum out of her vocabulary. "— and I welcome you to OWL-level Charms. I don't appreciate or condone slacking, and will not hesitate to revoke all your Hogsmeade privileges as well as summon you for supplemental lessons after your daily classes. There will be weekly readings and daily assignments along with biweekly essays and monthly assessments to track your progress within the class. Aid will be provided to all those who requested it, and office hours are already posted on the door for you to check on your way out." Malia pauses, allowing her words to sink in. "With formalities out of the way, who can tell me anything about the Patronus charm?"
「 Zoë Sakellarios-Willow 」Stubborn and Loud • Gryffindor 5th year
Zoe frowned when she was glared at but she was ready for this. She'd been already given the talk of we're being formal here, no mum and she'd prepared. The moment Malia looked at her, she flipped up her scroll where okay mum was clearly written on there. Zoe might have entertained the idea of slacking in classes, especially considering she'd already had her Hogsmeade privileges revoked, but also-she didn't even want to risk it. She'd do her best-focus wasn't her strong point and neither was charms. Zoe was still debating on whether having her mum as a professor was a blessing or a curse. Part of her considered it a former (okay five years and she still struggled with home sickness), but it could also be a former. At least she didn't have to do daily check ins with Hoe-Etta. Zoe had nearly once called Etta Hoe in front of Malia but had quickly caught herself to say Hoek instead. She'd then quickly departed the room. Zoe did know things about the charm but she decided her strategy was to keep low and float through the class. She didn't want her mum (there was really no way she was going to be able to call her anything else) to start calling on her for examples.
