Hazelle is the perfect Filipina beauty. She has long, wavy dark hair that reaches a bit beneath her shoulders and brown eyes. Whenever you see her, her back is straight and her head is held high, ready to smile for the cameras. Her smile is the most radiant thing you'll ever see, it can melt even the coldest of hearts. (It's a shame it can't defrost her own.)

From the book by R.R. del Castillo...
Several centuries and generations after the Spanish colonized the Philippines, the ARMP has become an isolated region, its government keeping to itself and lying low as possible while making its economy flourish. It's been known to most of the Wizarding World as a very shady government and some trying to get some information on it but is rebuffed every single time. They don't join international events even if they are qualified and during wars, they stay neutral and keeps their citizens close. Now, the ruling monarch is King Alejandro with his wife, Queen Marisol. The current heir to the throne is Prince Martin. Several of the Noble Houses has grown bigger while others have grown smaller or extinct. Some members of the Noble House of Iglesias has moved to the United Kingdom, still under the protection of the Crown. You see Alejandro's name in there, you see Marisol's, you see Martin's. Who is missing? Hazelle del Castillo, la princesa de la filipinas. Books always seem to forget about her, I'm afraid. Hazelle is two years younger than Martin, and the del Castillo family's only other child. Hazelle was always jealous of her brother. He was the one who was heir to the throne. He was the one who would become king one day. He was the one who everyone cared about. When she was younger, it honestly wasn't so bad. She didn't care much about being princess back then. She would run around the house and give her yayas hell. Her partner in crime was Anferney Valentin whenever the House Fernandez had come over, and when they were eleven, they attempted sanduguan before getting caught. She still has the scar on her arm to prove it. Her parents invested in her talents. They gave her all the formal tutoring, piano lessons, ballet lessons, gymnastics training, and books they could. Hazelle accomplished all of these (save piano) with flying colors. Being so ever proud of his daughter, Rey Alejandro spoiled his little prinsesa and gave her almost anything she asked for. She attended the Philippine Institute of Magic with other noble children, and her brother as well. At the age of thirteen, it hit her that she wasn't like other children. She was a princess, and she should start acting like one. She was being bullied too much at PIM, and that was no way to treat royalty. However, if she didn't act like it, then of course they wouldn't see her that way. Hazelle cut off all ties to her immaturity, which included nearly all her 'cousins' and her former friends. From a princess, she started acting like a queen, even though she knew she'd never inherit the throne. Ever since, she's been some sort of outcast with the second generation of ARMP, but all the older nobles adore her. She really did transform into the picture perfect princess. Victoria was the first to move. All of the second generation Iglesias actually. After a year of hearing Gng. Andres Iglesias talk to her father about how wonderful Hogwarts is, and how since their children are all royalty, and they deserve the best, they should all move, Alejandro finally decided on making the switch. Hazelle did not mind one bit. At least she wouldn't be around fakers trying to be her friend anymore. What did disappoint her however, is that she'd be going with her brother and the Fernandezes as well. She was hoping for a truly fresh start, and well... Martin, Anferney, and Rina don't exactly fit into that at all. After a less than exciting year at England, she got the disease Scrofungulus, which definitely shook things up a bit. Her parents wanted her close to home, for some reason, prioritizing family over her health. She went back to the Philippines, but unfortunately, the country is not nearly as medically advanced. In the end, she was cured, yes, though something did go wrong... Well, people always did say that her beauty is blinding, and now, the beauty is blind. |

Hazelle is perfectly capable of destroying you. She stands with perfect posture and her head held high, ready to squash you under her heel like the ipis you are.
The summer before her third year at PIM, she balanced books on her head and learned how to ballroom dance. She threw out all her ripped jeans and baseball caps and replaced them with dresses and tiaras. She stopped spending time with her friends, and started spending more time with her lola who taught her how to be the 'perfect' princess, and like everything else that she did, Hazelle excelled. She started caring far too much about her own image after that. In her eyes, she represented the royal family, so if she were to slip up, it would be a slip up for all of them. And yes, that's true, but she took it to the extreme. Hazelle has developed a mask she wears so well to the point that it's becoming her real face. It's not like she's evil inside, her friends can attest to this but her family will strongly disagree. She is more intelligent than you think. It's mostly because she wants to have a stellar reputation, and she can't rely on just beauty for that. When she first got to Hogwarts, it was definitely a hat stall. They couldn't decide between Ravenclaw for her intelligence, or Slytherin for her ambitious nature. Knowing the reputation that Slytherin house had (she had done her research), she begged for Ravenclaw. The hat obliged. Hazelle is also some kind of a diplomat. She understands people's problems, and is often the mediator in fights, if you'll let her be. She doesn't want to get involved in any arguments, and is surprisingly good at staying neutral. Hazelle keeps her opinions to herself, but she would side with whoever is the most advantageous ally. She is quite skilled at faking emotions and being plastic - a brilliant actress. The world might see her as a pawn, but in reality, she is the one playing chess. |

Hexes & Jinxes: She might be a girl, but she's a girl ready to hex your balls off if you're even the slightest bit misogynistic at all.
Defense Against the Dark Arts: Hazelle is good at combative magic. Don't even try with her, or you will end up in the Hospital Wing. Divination: It's not like she's a seer, but she loves and adores Divination. She's very superstitious. She's the type who'll check her horoscope every month and check her the bottom of her coffee cup for symbols. It's her enthusiasm for the subject that makes her good. Art: She's skilled. She started taking lessons at a young age, and until now you can find her doodling in the margins of her parchment or on the back page of her notebooks. Perhaps it'll be the only childish thing she'll indulge in. |

Wand: Narra, Dragon Heartstring, 11 inches. When Hazelle was eleven years old, she proved that she was really meant to be princess when she had selected a Narra wand. It's the national tree of the Philippines, and wands of the wood rarely ever chose any witch or wizard. She hadn't known what it meant at the time, but when she grasped the concept of why it was so important, her wand became her most prized possession.
