Welcome to the Head Boy and Girl's dormitory! The Head Boy and Girl have their own common room in which to study, and separate bedroom and bathrooms. Only those invited by the Head Boy or Girl can enter.
All students will turn their lights out and go to sleep at midnight, as they may be patrolling the corridors until then. Any student caught out of bed who does not have a convincing reason will be landed in detention, though Heads usually have a good reason.
Also, any student not invited cannot enter, however students from any House may enter with permission. This is useful if the Heads need to help other students with homework.

She hadn't seen nearly enough of Peter this year, and although she understood... she was taking matters into her own hands. She strode up to the dormitories and knocked on the door.

"Getting the Quidditch team into shape, trying to meet with my exchange buddy... study..." She looked apologetic. "I guess I've been pretty busy too. I miss you, if that helps at all?" she said, sitting next to him.

"Merlin, I'm so ready," she said with an eyeroll. "I'm going to get a job waitressing somewhere so that I can make some sort of wage and then get an apartment. And then find my birth father."
