The next morning Renee would wake up to the smell of and sound of sizzling ham from the kitchen.

She woke up and the only thing running through her mind was what a mistake this was. Had it been wonderful, and felt right? Absolutely. But it should not have happened the way it did. As she woke up, she could hear the ham sizzling. He'd cooked for her-- was cooking for her. She looked around for something to wear, and grabbed an overlarge tshirt of his, putting it on.

She felt the tears slip down. "Jacques.... I don't know. I don't know what I want!" She looked down at the ring. She never should have said yes. But in the moment when she had... she hadn't even been thinking about Jacques. How could she do that? Just shove one person out of her head so completely so that she could be with the other?

She sighed. She didn't feel much like eating, with all the guilt filling her stomach, but she cut into one of the crepes anyway, and started to eat.
