Jacques Noél Rousseau was born to Bernadette and Joaquin Rousseau in Brittany, France. Bernadette and Joaquin were affluent wizards, who owned their own publishing company for a French Wizarding Newspaper, thus allowing them to enjoy high profit and enviable revenue each year. Their shares in the company flourished after a boom in sales, and thus they lived comfortably to date. Jacques was born, and he was given all that he needed, and was waited on hand and foot - the Rousseaus could afford it, so why not? Jacques was always a quiet child, minding his own business, and playing on his own. He enjoyed the attention he recieved from others, but only in small doses. This was soon reciprocated by any of the Rousseau dinner guests, when Jacques' first sign of magic was making a roast turkey implode and splatter all the present guests, including a Mme. de Gaultier's beaded white gown - a lovely number that was never quite the same after the...altercation with Jacques.
It would not be long before he'd be off to Beauxbatons, like all other French witches and wizards. He was sorted into Bellefuille, which he wasn't surprised about to be honest, he was smart, he cared enough about the environment - but it just felt like it was the one that fit him best, as he didn't feel like he belonged to any 'one' particular house. Nevertheless, he kept to himself, and made just enough friends and passed with just enough marks to do 'well'. In his seventh year he had the opportunity to go to Hogwarts to take part in the Triwizard Competition, and decided to go, even if he didn't get chosen, the opportunity was too good to be missed. |

Jacques is a chameleon. He was taught how to use proper manners in social situations, and cater to the scenario he's in. Therefore, whenever he is around others, he plays all the right tunes in terms of his behaviours. Behind closed doors, or to his friends, he's actually quite a serious person. Jacques is a thinker, an overplanner and a worrier. He spends hours on end thinking up situations and contingency plans for all of them, in case they go wrong. Behind the smile, he's very serious. This isn't to say he's an ingenuine guy, he holds the people he cares about very dear to him, he's just not the best at showing it.
