Caiden had finally come back to town after quite some time and his first stop was to go see his old friend Kai. Sure Luka and Kai's relationship didn't end well, but Caiden was still pretty good friends with his brother's ex. As far as he knew Kai hadn't moved and so he showed up at the other's apartment expecting to find him. He knocked on the door and awaited a response from the other side.
Milo had the day off from being Bailey's PA, a thing he was happy about. Whilst he loved spending time with his brother-in-law, time off was far more appealing to him. Lounged on the couch, he groaned when he heard the knock at the door and hauled his body to it, opening it. The outside light causing his eyes to squint, he tilted his head, "Hello?..."
Caiden truthfully could never tell Milo apart from Kai, and so when Milo answered the door he kind of just assumed it was Kai. "Hello? Is that anyway to greet a friend Kai?" Caiden said with a cheeky smile, nudging Milo's arm a little bit.
Caiden nodded, laughing at Milo's attempt at being offended. As Milo stepped aside for him to enter, Caiden walked into the apartment and gave it a quick once over. "I see not much has changed since I was last here~"
"Yeah, it's alright. Bit boring at times but it's fun to take the piss out of Bailey." He grinned cheekily before adopting a more solemn expression. "Oh, um, I'm sorry to hear that - you two were cute together too."
Caiden shrugged nonchalantly, despite it still being a sore spot for him. "It's fine, everything happens for a reason. Besides, we found out we're much better off just being good friends. What about you though? Are you dating anyone nowadays?"
Caiden arched a brow as well as he looked at Milo. "Two things. One, how do you know I haven't already rebounded? Two, it's been at least a year since we broke up, that'd be a long ass wait on my part if I was just now rebounding."
