Kea Zebunonovna Willow was born in Железнодорожный, Russia, as the 7th child and 3rd daughter of the English Zebunon Willow and his wife, the Russian Anzhelika Mikhailovna Zhigunova. She has sixteen siblings, Izorpo, Satrina, Abito, Amizo, Mstislav, Ita, Kali, Valentina, Sergey, Taras, Adam, Yevgeniya, Emmanuil, Lyubov, Lilith and Ruslan. The... unique names belonging to almost half of them were from an idea of Anzhelika's - to have seventeen kids and name them all after different aliases of the first demon, Lilith. She only did this for eight of them, Izorpo, Satrina, Abito, Amizo, Ita, Kali, Kea and Lilith, though Lilith got off easily in Kea's eyes.
Her childhood was normal-ish for a pure-blooded witch, and her family was a rich one, despite living in the run-down Zheleznodorozhny, as her parents wanted to teach their children humilty. Her brother Izorpo was sorted into Slytherin, and in his fifth year met a Durmstrang transfer who called himself Lucian Willow. Before that, she had had no idea that she could have cousins, even if the youngest, Lirael, was significantly years older than her, not even knowing that her father had had a brother.
Aged 11, she got her Hogwarts letter, as well as others from the Slavic School of Magic, Koldovstvorets and Durmstrang, which her older sister Ita had not received the year before. This brought on a tantrum from her sister and broke their friendship apart, as Ita believed that Kea had taken her spot at Hogwarts. This, of course, is stupid, and Kea realises that now, but she still feels a pang of guilt whenever her parents mention magic or Hogwarts in front of Ita.
After the Christmas holidays in her sixth year, she spent a while attending Koldovstvorets near Moscow with her brother Mstislav, as their father was running for Minister of Magic and their parents wanted their two eldest schoolgoing children close enough to show off. Their father ultimately lost, and Kea was allowed to return to Hogwarts for her final year of schooling.
Upon graduation, Kea chose to pursue a career as an auror, as she had wanted since before she began her first year.
