Kimani Tandzile Gyasi is a pure-blood witch, the daughter of Yaayaa Asante Darko and Kwadjo Sambelo Gyasi. Her godfather is her uncle Osei Darko. She is the eldest child of nine siblings. She has two younger sisters as well as six younger brothers.
She was named after maternal grandmother Kimani Khumalo. She began attending Uagadou School of Magic in 2030.

Early childhood[]
Kimani Tandzile Gyasi was born in 2019 to Yaayaa Darko and Kwadjo Gyasi. She is the eldest of her nine siblings, a set which began with her two younger sisters. She is five years older than the first of her six brothers. She's always been at the head of the pack because she was born to it. She and her younger sister are constantly in competition with one another to prove who is the most dominant. Kimani doesn't look at them as a threat, their just fun to play with.
As member of a family with many mothers, Kimani was raised in her mother's homestead. She was born into a family that practiced polygamy, her father had his first two wives chosen for him by a council of ancients. It began with two wives and quickly progressed to six, he currently has 18 wives and 42 children. When one of his fiancée's becomes pregnant he is allowed to marry her. Kimani and her sisters were the first born. In their immediate family, the children of Yaayaa, they are nine strong. When the triplets were five years old the first of their brothers were born.
In 2030 Kimani and her sisters were in one of their theory of magic lessons. Her brothers had broken off into smaller clusters and were divided. They chose to play separate games of rugby and football. Kimani had gotten bored with all the lectures that were seemingly part of that days lesson and drifted off mentally. Before she knew it the boerperd horse she was imagining herself on the back of was still firmly on the ground while Kimani was floating a few feet about the saddle. She was so lost in thought it wasn't until she looked down at the ground the she saw the distance between her and the ground was real. Realization broke the trance and she started to fall, luckily the trainer magically bounced off the ground. Kimani caught herself mid-air making for a bit of a softer landing.
Uagadou Years (2030-2037)[]
Kimani Gyasi began her magical education at Uagadou School of Magic in 2030.
First year[]
In 2030 she met her fellow first years; Xaliima Obama, Sibusiso Afolabi, Nanjala Pretorius, Babajide Mwangi and Chinedu Botha.
Second year[]
In 2031 she was scratched by a student who was secretly a werewolf. The fresh wound across her back from the young wolf was sealed with a mixture of powdered silver and dittany.
Third year[]
In 2032 she spoke with her Professors at length about which mandatory classes and electives were required for a career as an Auror.
Fourth year[]
In 2033 she started to become very interested in Human Transfiguration, and began studying the process by which one becomes an Animagus.
Fifth year[]
In 2034 she was chosen as part of a pilot project (Project VIP) of student interns for the Burkinabé Ministry of Magic.
Sixth year[]
In 2035, she was one of the 20 student interns selected to participate in Project for the VIP Burkinabé Ministry of Magic internship.
Seventh year[]
In 2036 she was one of the ten student interns participating in Project VIP for the Burkinabé Ministry of Magic.
Adult Life[]
After Uagadou Kimani moved to Burkina Faso. Following her successful completion of Project VIP; Versatile Integration Programme, she jumped straight into the required Auror training with the Burkinabé Ministry of Magic in 2037. She spent about 40 months, over three years, training with members from different divisions and working her way up the ranks towards fully-fledged Auror. During her stringent field training she excelled in Stealth and Tracking courses, however, her marks in Concealment and Disguise courses were less than stellar. She steadily improved, her hardwork and intense dedication never going unnoticed. On her first mission with a new partner, Jaynet Archer, things went awry. Jaynet was killed by diamond smugglers while risking her life to save several hostages.
She was handpicked by Minister Maurice Houphouët-Boigny to serve as his personal body guard. She left West Africa in late 2045 on a special classified mission (Pursue Dark Wix) from the Burkinabé Minister for Magic. Witnesses report "Adjoavi" is the mastermind behind the murder of West African representative for the International Confederation of Wizards, Le Vieux Gaston Houphouët-Boigny.

Personality and traits[]
Kimani would choose adventure over responsibility any day of the week. She's not fond of authoritative rules and she doesn't enjoy being told what to do. She is a fearless non-conformist with deep hatred for stereotypes. She has a leader mentality that comes naturally to her. She not the dainty 'Princess' she appears to be at first glance. Kimani's not entirely what she seems to be, more like a question mark than an exclamation point. She's always ready to head into unknown territory with or without backup. The 'guns-a-blazing' type, she loves a challenge be it a mental or physical one she's going at it in full on attack mode.

Kimani is under the impression that she has an excellent relationship with her family. She communicates with her mother and father through two-way mirror every so often. She is close with her two younger sisters, and maintains a somewhat frequent communication with her younger brothers. She even keeps the lines of communication of open across family lines speaking often with the other wives of her father and her half-siblings. Overtime speaking with other people about her usual family has made her feel awkward about her half-siblings and her father's wives. She continues to keep them in her heart as family regardless of how she lets outsiders make her feel.
