If you don't mind dining with Muggles, La Lune Bleue is undoubtedly one of the best choices for a refreshing brunch, a relaxing tea or a romantic dinner with your date. Pandora has been back in England for a week now, getting things in order, notifying her brother Cassius of her return, and figuring out her way around the main Veela clans - always pays to have contacts, after all. She's finally gotten to a point where she feels confident enough to contact Carlisle, telling him to meet her here. The only outward sign of nerves she's showing is the absent-minded tapping of her red-painted nails upon the table as she sips her drink, watching out the window. Can you really blame her for her nerves? The last time they spoke was a row, after Carlisle confessed to knowing about her heritage and not telling her. She just hopes this will go better.

Both had been struggling with work (who would have thought) and wanted at least one night too relax. And if Eleni messed it all up by forgetting too reserve a table then Eleni was going to resort too bribery. Eleni opened her mouth, too offer money if she were honest, until she felt her phone buzzed. Kaia. Telling her that she had to work late and that she couldn't make it. Perfect.

Eleni didn't recognise the voice and, at first, assumed the person was really just cutting in line and being, quite frankly, rude. It wasn't until Eleni's head tilted to look at who it was, that recognition clicked. Of course, she hadn't really seen Eden Lestrange since...Eleni didn't know. Fifteen? Sixteen? Just before Eleni got involved in groups that she shouldn't have. Eleni had heard of Eden here and there with Kaia still being in contact with her. She kind of just stood there in awkward surprise, staring at Eden, until she registered what Eden had said and her eyebrows drew together. What? Eleni wanted to be surprised. But she wasn't. Kaia had been urging Eleni to get more friends outside of work for years now. (It was a sad realisation for Eleni when she realised her entire social circle was her coworkers). And apparently, Kaia had resorted to a blind friendship date with Eden Lestrange. That was Eleni's theory that she made up in under five seconds. Maybe Kaia had mentioned inviting Eden along and Eleni didn't hear it. She hoped Kaia knew what she was doing because these two were apparently not on good terms, judging from how Eden was essentially ignoring her.
"Ah, sorry ma'am, I found you. Eden Lestrange and Eleni Yaxley. Listed under Lestrange. Are we, perchance, waiting for another?" The waiter finally said and Eleni took a small breath through her mouth. She was going to suffocate Kaia with one of her pillows second she got home. But Eleni was a certified adult™ now and be mature about it. "No, I think this is it," she said after a moment, "thank you."

"And then you never stop growing and you want to turn back time. Then again, I was pretty stupid growing up so I think I'll be content with where I'm at now." Eleni didn't need someone to tell her she was a reckless idiot as a teenager. She had the scar to remind her. "And Flo? I'm assuming she's still coaching that quidditch team? Still don't understand quidditch." Even when she knew Eden and Flo as a teenager, who tried to get Eleni into it, she refused and stuck to quadpot. Which still hasn't changed.

It was probably a good thing that Eden said that. In the long run. Actually get it out there that they can acknowledge it. And move on from it. However, in the moment, it stung. With such a small space between it, Eleni was bound to have heard it. Or enough to put the pieces together. "You know none of it was personal, don't you? What happened back then. I cut everyone off. It wasn't the best idea. It wasn't. But..." Eleni had no idea how to say 'I'm sorry I was a shit head and got involved in the wrong crowd but I like to think nearly dying was enough karma to last a lifetime'. "But I never did it to hurt you. I know it's been nearly a decade but an apology for it all is overdue." Eleni hated apologising. She really did. It was awkward. But being a department head, she had to take accountability some time. You didn't become a head of a department by being an immature and reckless teenager. "No, don't. I'll leave. I'm not really that hungry, anyway," Eleni said, placing the menu back onto the table before gathering her things. "I need to go find a certain healer regardless. And I have work in the morning, I can't have a long night." Eleni wasn't going to be sleeping a wink that night. Even if she tried. No, Eleni is going to be working her body to the death at a local gym. "Still, it might not be returned but...it was good seeing you. At least to have this meeting before you start work yourself. And I hope you're not fretting about it all, I'm sure you'll get the job. H-Minister Radley-Abbott will see you'd be an asset to the ministry." With that, Eleni stood up.
